Since at least the Irish trip (where Hunter had to step in to help his dad field questions), old Joe has gotten noticeable worse.

That is apparently why his keepers didn't let him comment on the debt talks. They were afraid of what might end up coming out of his mouth. His being kept under wraps has enraged many on the left, angry that old Joe has stayed mum while McCarthy would go out and talk with reporters -- getting the Republican side out while the duffer stayed silent.
