Changing the elements that result in systemic racism in this country does not even remotely imply dismantling our republic. Where that is coming from I do not know, but I would not be surprised if its source was fear mongering by someone with at least one foot in a white supremacist mentaility. We got rid of slavery. We got rid of seperate but equal. The republic is still here. We can make the adjustments necessary to fix where the system enforces racisms as well.

You didn't read the part about definitions at all, did you? Systemic and foundational have meanings. You can't just change what they mean to advance your political agenda, at least not honestly. Your analogy is terrible btw. My argument is that we can't keep a train running while we remove the tracks out from beneath it at the same time.
