    Yup.

I saw one enter a liquor store, hop up on the counter and rob the place just yesterday.

And I'll never forget the time a shotgun bounced down the street and then started shooting at his wife and the gun she was cheating with.

I mean, teenagers brains aren't fully developed either. IIRC it's not finished until around age 23 or so.

If trans people were being shot up in a game, there would have been outrage. A screenshot on Twitter from a game called "Trans Agent X" has hormones as a drop.

Indeed, so many freedoms and rights have age limits, making them not available to teenagers. Our society has always acknowledge that there is a brain development progression and based laws around it. Abortion age-of-fetus thresholds are an example of another of those laws.

Ah so you admit they are living human beings you just believe that as a fetus they have no right to life.

Not quite sure I follow your statement here. As I said above, I hold the view that the extent to which moral considerations apply to an entity is proportional to its level of mental function. Plants and rocks have no mind, so no moral relevance. Adult humans have maximum mind development and hence maximum moral rights and moral considerations. Animals and fetuses sit somewhere in between, and their level of mental function is different by species (e.g. an insect vs a dolphin) and different by stage of development (e.g. just after conception vs late term etc).

How exactly we choose to draw lines in the shades of gray of the different levels of mind, varies. Few people, if any, would have an issue with killing a mosquito. It's level of mind is so small as to be negligible. Whereas some proportion of people do have a problem with killing an animal like a cow in order to eat its meat. They think the level of mind that a cow has is such that, unlike an insect, we should respect its right to life, and not kill it. Other people don't draw that line there and are fine with cows being killed for meat, etc. Obviously as a human fetus develops, it starts with absolutely zero mind immediately after conception, passes through the level of an insect mind, and on up. Hence the stage at which we would consider aborting it is important because its level of mind is different at different stages.

One note of biology that's relevant to this is that due to humans walking upright rather than on all fours, human females have narrow hips and a narrow birth canal which means during birth the baby's head gets severely squeezed, which would cause massive brain damage to a developed brain. As a result, unlike other animals, humans have evolved to not have as much brain development in the womb in order to prevent this brain damage. As a result, newborns of almost any animal species are immediately capable on birth of feeding themselves, walking, navigating the world, etc... but human newborns are not, and are substantially mentally impaired relative to adults of their species. So while in other species most brain development happens pre-birth, in humans it doesn't and happens post-birth instead. A human baby does not pass a typical dog in cognitive ability until the age of 2-3. From the point of view of someone considering having an abortion, and considering whether it could be justified in comparison to whether they would be prepared to kill another animal at a similar mental functioning level, this tilts the situation quite heavily in favor of the abortion being okay to them, because the fetus's mental function level is equivalent to very very low-mental-function species that they would generally be okay with killing (e.g. insects).

I think, from past discussion, and your comment above, you have quite a different moral view entirely, where the morality of the situation relates to something being a member of the human species specifically (not quite sure how that ties in with your vegetarianism though?) and hence you think human fetuses should get special moral treatment, exempt from any of the above logic about minds, solely because they are of the human species. I don't feel like I can take that idea very seriously. If humans are special, IMO, it's because of the extent of our mental functions. If you want to say, apropos of nothing, that humans are uniquely special above and beyond anything about our mental functioning level, that seems totally arbitrary to me, and special pleading, and I see absolutely no reason why I would want to accept that premise anymore than I would accept the premise that "people wearing green hats have a special moral status and special rules should be applied to them above and beyond the normal ones" or think that was at all a good philosophical idea.
