Jane Fonda has a multi-decade history of being waaaay out there compared to anyone else. I don't think anyone on the left feels that she speaks for them or feels obliged to defend her crazy stuff.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

So saying MTG is waaaay out there is now a valid defence to dismiss her ramblings? It's hilarious you're using the "She's just crazy so don't mind her" defence.

It would indeed be if Republicans hadn't voted for her, and also made huge numbers of monetary donations to her such that she's the 2nd-biggest taker of small donations in the Republican party. So no, you don't get to disown her crazy.

Only ~230k people voted for her, so only they can't disavow her, and likely they only voted for her in a similar way a progressive would have voted for HRC compared to Trump. I'm also not a Republican.

I do wonder if Rogue is one of those. He says he lives in Georgia. Probably he'll say he's not in her district, regardless of whether that is true, so he doesn't have to admit to voting for her.

Given her district is northwest GA, I would doubt he's in her district. I enjoy how you preemptively consider him a liar to save face.

On second thought, I find it strange to even bring up Rogue at all. It's completely unnecessary to bring up someone else's personal details as if it's somehow an argument or even relevant. Hypatia did that to Gond awhile back with his children.

Jane Fonda was not exactly known as a comedic actress (although she did do a few comedies).

And aside from Heaton, what about Kathy Ireland and Candace Cameron come to mind.

So you are saying she is just slightly right of center in your political spectrum where Stalin was a right-winger?

Given her positions I would think that you would consider her a welcome fellow traveler, but she's probably just another right winger to you sort of like Stalin.

I live outside of Atlanta and, FWICT, in an adjacent district which is represented by Barry Loudermilk (which the J6 Circus tried to smear and got caught spreading demonstrable lies regarding). No, I would not vote for her and would either vote third party (like I did for several years in presidential races) or have abstained from voting in the Congressional race.

She was on the liberal fringe (which you generally consider the rational position) during the late 60s and early 70s -- maybe not quite a decade. What things was she doing after that would you consider "waaaay out there compared to anyone else"?

So, she's slightly to your right? This is the first time I ever recall you seeking to distance yourself from someone because they're too left.

Actually, she's not as "waaaay out there" as liberals like you like to think. She's only slightly to the left of where most Democrats publicly stand (where they privately stand is another matter entirely).
