Devastating rebuttal there, star. I'm at awe at how you marshalled your facts and your presentation of them which utterly rebutted what I said.

Fact: In our school district, there was an outcry about CRT.
Fact: The school board proposed a change to a framework known as Panorama.
Fact: A public outcry resulted in Panorama being rejected by the School Board, though they already paid huge bucks for curriculum consultants who recommended it.
Fact: They proceeded to purchase and implement Social Emotional Learning, and hired a high-paid consult to oversee its implementation.
Fact: It was prominently displayed on their website as proof that they are a "District of Innovation".
Fact: 12 December, 2022, I appeared at a school board meeting and, in my rigidly controlled 3 minute address, I pointed out the presence of this SEL banner on their website.
Fact: 14 December, 2022, that banner totally disappeared from the public facing pages of their website.
Fact: I have been unable to get anybody from the school board to explain why, if SEL is good, did they hide it, and if it was bad, why was it there in the first place.
Fact: The implementation of SEL and the hiring of a Director for SEL are very clearly spelled out in the District's 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 District Improvement Plans
Fact: One of the school board members admitted privately that he has been instructed by the Board's legal team not to answer any questions about SEL.
Fact: We are in the process of filing official FOIA Requests for this information.

Panorama is, in itself, quite interesting, as it was written by Attorney General Merrick Garland's wife and son-in-law (Xan Tanner), and when citizens began showing up at school board meetings to protest it, AG Garland began his infamous campaign to suggest that such protesters should be considered "domestic terrorists".

Meanwhile, 32,000 public schools got suckered into spending 76 MILLION dollars on this crap which includes questionnaires for students to tattle on whether their parents fight, have guns in their homes, drink alcohol.....

$5 billion would get you a lot of school. Hope that school built its own theme park with that kind of money.

It turns out that the $5 billion was actually spread across all schools in the state to help them reopen after Covid (and was not earmarked for CRT).
I predicted that MTG would be entertaining to watch if the Republicans won control of the House and she was in the majority, but it's pretty obvious a misspeak and she is correct about a lot of money earmarked for Covid has been funneled into other things such as a community center in Pennsylvania misusing the money to promote Drag Queen Story Time[1]

Further, there were several people in the article you linked to who said that much of the $5 Billion did indeed go toward CRT and the like (something you conveniently omitted).

Still, school systems getting billions in cash and burning through it faster than the Joker with a can of gasoline is nothing new over here. One example I've recounted previously is how back in the mid-80s a federal judge ordered that Billions of dollars be spent upgrading Kansas City's schools. The educrats were giddy with delight. They set about adding enormous gyms to the schools, built an Olympic swimming pool, TV studios, a planetarium, a zoo, and even a wildlife sanctuary. After burning through $2 Billion it was discovered that what they did not get was a single new textbook to replace the worn-out sadly outdated ones they had. And IIRC not a single new teacher was hired although a lot more administrators were[2].

Results? The schools got worse. Markedly so. Something like five years later the Kansas City school district failed 11 performance standards and lost its academic accreditation for the first time in the district's history.

          1. the community center denies it hoping that people don't understand how money is fungible.

          2. When I started High School in the '70s it was so overcrowded not only were there nearly a dozen trailers setting in the parking lot being used as classrooms but we had to go in shifts with juniors and seniors going in the morning and freshmen and sophomores in the afternoon. Yet we only had 4 principals. Today, after expanding the building and several new schools being built, resulting in a considerably smaller school population, there are now somewhere between a dozen and 15 principals at my old school. Way too many chiefs.

I'm always still in trouble again

            More facts for diarrhea boy....

Xan Tanner, mentioned earlier as Merrick Garland's son-in-law, developer of Panorama.

            From InfluenceWatch....

Panorama claims that it does not promote critical race theory. [8] However, media reports have identified Panorama content focused on race. The Daily Mail reported that Panorama ran a free online workshop entitled “SEL [Social-Emotional Learning] as Social Justice: Dismantling White Supremacy Within Systems and Self” that included an article entitled “How White Supremacy Lives in Our Schools” among its recommended resources for teachers. The essay identified rallies supporting President Donald Trump as being comparable as symbols of white supremacy to the Ku Klux Klan. [9][10]

This workshop is no longer available on the Panorama website, and in fact most workshops from prior to 2021, including several that discuss race and racism in schools, such as “Expert Q&A: Leading Adult SEL to Combat Systemic Racism & Implicit Bias in Schools” and “Live Workshop: Strategies for Addressing Racism with Students and Caring Adults” have been scrubbed from the online list of available resources, unless accessed using archived versions of the website. [11]

Critics drew attention to the relationship between Tanner and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland after Garland ordered the FBI to investigate alleged threats against school boards from parents who disapproved of efforts to implement critical race theory-inspired curricula in schools. [12] The Washington Examiner, a right-leaning news outlet, editorialized that Garland should resign from his position due to the egregious nature of his memo ordering the FBI to investigate parents upset at their school boards, or at the very least recuse himself given the apparent conflict of interest stemming from having a close family member’s firm implicated in the controversy. [13]

A tacit admission that CRT exists and that the prodder of bovines is standing in the way of it.

You've just proceeded from step 1 to step 2 of the typical leftist reaction regarding CRT.

First you adamantly deny it exists and mock those who aren't fooled by the gaslighting.

Second, when the first step fails, you start insisting that CRT is good and those in opposition to it are bad (I'm surprised that you didn't call CP a domestic terrorist and demand that the FBI be sicced on him since that appears to be how its written in the playbook).

Back then, of course, we didn't have a clue about the "green movement", or even "soylent green".
We would have thought that "green" meant either you were sick, or you were new at a job.

Star is correct about one thing, the CRT legal theory as formulated by Dr. Derrick Bell (considered the father of CRT) is not really being taught in K-12. But some of his concepts have morphed and changed over the years into what we see today. Some are actually opposite to what he wrote, like race essentialism. But some of his beliefs have been distilled down for common consumption. Like there are two classes - the oppressed and oppressors ( kind of Marxist). And that all relationship; in government, business and even personal are power based. Of course in our society it is assumed that the whites are the power/oppressors and the blacks are the oppressed. And this division of classes is the road to hell, as we saw in the last century.

                              Bingo.

And, Social Emotional Learning - I talked to people at the organization that initially produced this, and it was heavily interlaced with Scripture references and Biblical principles.
In order to sell it to some school districts, they stripped out the Scripture "addresses", but kept the Biblical principles without actually identifying them as such.

From there, SEL has also morphed into bad stuff that doesn't need to be in our schools.
