They want to reduce the number of cattle in order to reduce methane production. But if they reduce cattle then that reduces the meat supply. If they want to still be able to eat steaks with a reduced meat supply, they need to get everyone else to eat something else, like bugs. That leaves all the steak for themselves.

Oh! Cow farts. I remember that. I was thinking it had more to do with the amount of deforestation required to farm the cattle.

We need to genetically engineer meat bugs. You know, it's like capitalism...provide a good substitute and if I, the consumer am satisfied, then I wouldn't mind making the transition.

Where do you think are we going genetically?

We are talking about the implications and what the world would look like in this futuristic scenario. I would imagine that before eating bugs become the norm, then we will have made advancements in food science.

              So much weirdness surrounding that.

The company is laying off people but claims sales are way up but they're unable to make a profit

And interestingly they're more expensive than meat. They just cut their prices 15% to try to be more competitive.

I'm always still in trouble again

And they are as bad or worse for you than eating actual meat.

Also if meat is so bad why do vegetarians spend so much time making plants taste like meat?

And every other year reintroduce something that they claim now tastes even better.

Once it is indistinguishable from meat, then are they even vegetarians? After all actual meat is just processed grass to begin with.

It looks like they've already started using insects. Can you spot the difference?

I was thinking maybe the article was giving permission for some insects to consume humans.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I've eaten crickets before. I'm just wondering how many you need to eat to equal a 12 oz. steak or even a quarter pound hamburger
