I have been a fan of the Triggernometry pod cast for a couple of years now, recently one of the hosts, Konstantin Kisin, did an epic response to woke culture at the Oxford Union, which went viral. In case you missed it.

Same as I have been saying about such things as liberals trying to force things on us like electric cars. You can't force people to use inferior technology, especially when it is too expensive and there is no infrastructure to support it.

If you want people to use electric cars instead of gas cars, then you need to make them more desirable. They need to be the same price or cheaper than gas cars. There needs to be an infrastructure in place to easily charge them. They need to be able to charge as fast as a gas car fills up. There needs to be an electric grid powerful enough to handle mass amounts of electric cars, etc. In other words they need to be better than gas cars so that people WANT to buy them. You won't need to incentivize them, or force them to switch.

When HDTV and flat screen TVs came out did the government need to force people to switch away from tube TVs? Nope. Why? Because they were better. Heck the government had to scramble to keep up and change over the TV channels to support HDTV. Did the government have to force people to buy cell phones and then smart phones? No. They were more popular and now you can hardly find land lines in homes or phone booths in public.

To the extent that what he said had any content, it was that getting India and China on board with regard to climate action is going to be hard, and it has to be done in such a way that their quality of life isn't lowered... which kinda ranks under "duh, that's obvious and we all already knew". ~shrug~

Are you? I keep hearing crying from the right-wing about all these imaginary climate change sacrifices that leftists are supposedly forcing you to make. But I personally haven't see any such sacrifices, and I've never heard any major leftists seriously advocating any sacrifices. So I've got it filed under "right wingers are a bunch of cowardly paranoid crybabies". It's like with the "they're forcing us to eat insects"... they're not doing so.

You live on an isolated island out in the middle of the South Pacific a thousand plus miles from anywhere. I'm not sure why you think what the left is doing in the U.S. affects your education.

Can I interpret your failure to list a single sacrifice forced on you by leftists concerned about climate change to be an admission that you lied above when claiming they forced great sacrifices on you?

Just to be crystal clear, Rogue, in case you really misunderstood basic English rather than were trolling with regard to the slight ambiguity, I was asking you to educate me about the sacrifices you claim to have made for climate change. I was not asking you to comment on my education.
