They're both members so not really a surprise. If anyone is curious as to who's calling the shots within the shadows in the Biden admin: Avril Haines, Samantha Powers, Bill Burns, John Kerry, to name four. All members, and so it's no surprise, when you look up their history, all four are staunch advocates of climate change policy.

        https://summit.news/2023/01/20/davos...w-world-order/

        - Bilawal Bhutto declares we must establish (in his OWN words) a "New World Order."

        - Tanja Fajon declares countries need abandon their own national interest and take into consideration "The World Order."

        - Within ten years humans will embrace implanted brain technology so they “can decode complex thought."

        - 5 minute "eco-friendly" cities will be built by 2045 that will house about nine million people living in 34 sq. km of space.

        - Sarah Kate Ellis admits agenda in using Hollywood to promote LGBTQ culture.

        - Věra Jourová predicts that "hate speech" will be legally defined (and thus presumably made illegal) in the US.

One person saying something doesn't make it so. Davos hosts lots of forums, and individuals at them express their own views. The hundreds of people speaking in them can have all sorts of individual views. Unless you could show evidence that a majority of attendees held a certain view, and that they had the power and intention to implement that view, then it's not really relevant.

Brain implants are a joke at the moment. In Elon Musk's tests with them, the monkeys they implanted them in died horribly.

The "eco-friendly line city" that the Saudis are talking about has people rolling on the floor laughing at it. It's not serious.

Probably most of the rest of what people at Davos talk about is equally moronic. I see Kristen Cinema and Joe Manchin were there, the dropkicks of the democratic party (although Cinema is such a loser she's even dropped out of the party), so that tells you all you need to know about the lack of intellectual caliber of the people in attendance.

It's relevant because I believe it's a place they express a dogmatic ideology. You believe it's a conspiracy of rightwingers pretending to be leftwingers by spewing out leftwing ideology for some reason or another (I don't seem to recall you ever really stating what you believe their purpose for doing this was).

I don't believe that. I believe it's more like a fellowship similar to a religious belief, where they all might have slightly different views like any religion, but they all share belief in a general ideological dogma. It's all centered around climate change and transhumanism which make up the general tenets of the ideology. What makes it especially relevant is that this includes government leaders and officials, those that dictate policy, among other powerful and influential people in our society and politics.

And your belief on the subject seems to be based on no evidence.

No. I believe it's selfish & greedy rich people from around the world attending it.

Rich people lean right-wing on economics in general because they prefer not to be taxed and leftwing governments would tax them more than right-wing governments

They also don't want to lose their money through government initiatives. Currently every government has initiatives to address the problem of climate change. Hence these selfish rich people are interested in thinking about how those government initiatives could be adjusted to not cause them to lose any money / to cause them to gain money. So they can come up with ideas and then suggest to their own country's government that instead of having climate change policy X (which happens to cause economic loss to these rich people) they should change to climate change policy Y (which happens to cause economic gain to these rich people).

They'd all love to live forever because they're self-centered people. It's not surprising they all have a liking for transhumanism.

They don't all agree on climate change. There are people like Kirsten Cinema and Joe Manchin there who don't give two figs about climate change. However, what they do see is the opportunity for government climate change policies to be altered in such a way that rich people make money rather than lose money. Making money interests them.

You handwave away my idea about what they're about and claim there's no evidence, while you present a conspiracy theory that's even less plausible, and yet you've not presented any evidence for your claim about what they're about. My idea is supported by mountains of evidence -- the myriad number of videos free for public display on the discussions they have, and it's all about either climate change or transhumanism. Where is your evidence showing discussions of their concerns about what you claim they hold or trying to change the dynamics of government in order to save money and avoid taxes? Or is that part of your conspiracy theory, that they cleverly conceal all these plans? Btw, did you know your heroine Greta is a member? Is she part of the conspiracy? Or is it more plausible to believe she too holds that dogmatic ideology and is even more of a fanatic about it?

He argues they're not progressive but some sort of quasi-leftwing libertarians because it's uncomfortable to him to concede that these folks are propagating the same ideology that progressives propagate, and that it looks as though the latter is being used as tools of the former. So he has to make up some nonsense about them not being real progressives (because real progressives are apparently never wealthy), therefore they're conspiring like they believe in what they endorse but are actually faking it, which we both know is laughable.

But even if they actually were a bunch of wealthy progressives, his attempts to explain what they're really conspiring to do -- i.e. faking it because they really just want to avoid regulation and paying taxes -- also isn't true and is easily proven false.

This is but one example why Davos is important and how they have global influence on government policies and civil actions. Just days after she made that prediction about censorship coming to America, she does this...

EU Technocrat Threatens Musk With "Sanctions" Unless He Stamps Out Free Speech On Twitter

The battle over Twitter is often made to appear complex and chaotic, but it can all be boiled down to a simple dichotomy - It's about the people who demand censorship in favor of the establishment narrative vs. the people who want free speech and fair rules applied to everyone equally.

Everything else is noise and distraction.

The complications arise when we try to define free speech when it comes to social media. Private companies are not subject to many legal boundaries related to free speech rights. This is an argument that the political left and government representatives made constantly during the massive purge of conservative and liberty oriented accounts by Big Tech companies since 2016. And, as we saw with Twitter previous to Elon Musk's takeover, governments took full advantage of this legal loophole in order to silence people using social media websites as middlemen.

The ongoing release of the Twitter Files proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that collusion between Big Tech and governments for the sake of censorship is a reality. In America, at least, this is a constitutional no-no. The fact that politicians and agencies like the FBI were actively seeking out and targeting ideological opponents and having them silenced on Twitter is a direct violation of the 1st Amendment and these people should be subject to prosecution (the FBI even shelled out at least $3 million to Twitter for services rendered).

Prosecution might never happen, but at least the evidence is undeniable today after years of the public being lied to.

The reality that Twitter was acting as an enforcement agent for government censorship around the world tells us exactly why so many establishment officials have been up in arms over Musk's purchase of the platform. Until now, every single major Big Tech company has been operating in lock-step with the establishment narrative. People couldn't even talk about Hunter Biden's laptop, let alone talk about the inconvenient facts surrounding "climate change" or the covid mandates and vaccines.

This is a dynamic that elitists would still like to keep in place, and they are looking to use international trade rules as a means to pressure Musk into conforming.

EU Commissioner for Values and Transparency Věra Jourová makes a statement from the frozen doorstep of Davos arguing that Twitter is subject to EU rules for preventing "harm to society".

“The time of the Wild West is over,” Jourova told EuroNews.

“We will have the Digital Services Act [DSA]. We will have the Code of Practice as a part of this legislation.”

“So, after Mr Musk took over Twitter with his ‘freedom of speech absolutism,’ we are the protectors of freedom of speech as well,” she added.

“But at the same time, we cannot accept, for instance, illegal content online and so on. So, our message was clear: we have rules which have to be complied with, otherwise there will be sanctions.
She's clearly using the threat of "sanctions" to impose her will on a US corporation. What I can't figure out is if she's referring to Twitter or any of Musk's other companies.
