She's the first person listed under "Theoretical Influences" on the page you linked.

The understood context is the US. If you're not familiar with the US, perhaps you shouldn't comment about the US right-wing.

Having watched US political commentators daily for the last 10 years or so, I think I'm plenty familiar with the US right-wing. Not to mention talking to US right-wingers on this forum for years.

In all that time, I don't remember Judith Butler ever coming up. Not from Progressive sources and not from right-wing sources. The only hit on her on this site is you previous post. Maybe you should ask yourself if you're so far down a rabbit hole that you're obsessed about something few others have heard of, never mind care about.

Not having heard of them extends to not knowing their pronoun preferences.

A simple scroll through her wiki page would show her influence. She's even garnered a reaction from a pre-papal Cardinal Ratzinger. This stuff has existed for decades. It does take time for academia to trickle down to have an effect on the broader population. I get you want to maintain the myth of an invented boogeyman. It's highly disingenuous, but understandable.

It's not a change of subject: OP was asking about why dragophobia is on the rise when it wasn't an issue five years ago, and my answer is that the facts of the matter haven't changed and it hasn't become any more of an actual issue than it ever was, but it's become convenient to the right-wing propaganda machine to fake a moral panic on the topic. So we see a lot more conservative outrage about it now than we did 5 years ago.

I don't know what you're talking about regarding litter boxes and caravans.
They've been common right-wing distractions/talking-points. I guess you get your propaganda from a single source so missed those ones?

I don't think this is true. "Dragphobia" may be on the rise, but this seems to be in response to the fact there's been much more promotion of it. For example, the usage of "Drag Queen Story Hour" has certainly increased over the last five years.

Sure, in the increase of "dragphobia" there might be--actually, there probably is--a degree of outrage being made because of a desire to make there be something to be outraged about, but it seems hard to deny that it isn't, independent of that outrage, on the rise.

If your posting history is an indication of this "understanding" -- no. Your familiarity is with a mischaracterization -- a stereotype -- pushed by TYT, Hollyweird movies and like-minded sources. It is as relatable to reality as watching Mickey Mouse cartoons are about mice.

Dude, you're bringing up things I've never heard about as though I'm in a panic over them. You really need to find new sources for your little rants.

It's like he watches youtube videos on what Americans believe produced by people who know nothing about what we believe.
