Your personal interpretation of the bible is hardly the only possible interpretation of it, and will have been hugely influenced by both the translations you were using and the theology you were taught. I once wrote a book about how cumulative misinterpretation of the bible over time resulted in the theology you've been espousing in this thread.

There are indeed many possible interpretations. Many fewer can possibly be right.

CD has given the obvious answers. Unfortunately people of all kinds sometimes commit child abuse. You guys glorying in a specific case of it done by gay people is sick and shows a disgusting level of vicious homophobia.

Perhaps it should be noted, NAMBLA was a common guest at Pride parades in the 70s and 80s, well into the 90s. It wasn't until the mid 90s that ILGA kicked them out when it looked like the UN might drop them as a partner for their association with NAMBLA.

I do seem to commonly see a really basic error in logic from conservatives on this board where if A is ever associated with B, and if A is bad, then it smears forever both B and anyone ever in the future associated with B, even decades after the two groups separate, even if none of the same people are in the group anymore.

I understand lack of mental ability is a prerequisite for being a conservative, but do at least try please. Groups are made up of lots of individuals, each of whom can have different views, not all of whom will agree with everything the group as a whole is doing. Here's the problem with your attempt to handwave this away - the founder of NAMBLA is one of the Stonewall riot crowd, and founder of numerous LGBT organizations. And Pride parades were more than happy to march alongside the predators and pedophilesof NAMBLA for decades until it became bad optics for their income stream from the UN.
