To start on MSNBC's Morning Joe an irate Mika Brzezinski ranted in response to Mitch McConnell's statement concerning Pelosi's retirement (McConnell congratulates Pelosi on ‘historic tenure’ and ‘path-breaking career’) didn't contain what she deemed to be the appropriate level of worshipful adulation
"This would have been the moment to step up and show some grace. Who raised you? Who raised these people? I'm sorry, who raised you. Who raised you, Kevin McCarthy, who raised you, Republicans in the House. Seriously. Try and imitate somebody with just an ounce of grace. Try and make your mother proud for one second. It's disgusting. It's disappointing and not to me. You're the one who has to look in the mirror every day. Anyhow, I digress"
Later, on the network's The 11th Hour, after singing her praises like she was giving a eulogy, host Stephanie Ruhle also condemned Republicans for not joining in, singling out the incoming new House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy with
"And what did Kevin McCarthy do today? Went on TV and said that ‘we fired Nancy.’ Nice job, Kev."
The funniest part was all of the things Ruhle and her guests claimed Pelosi accomplished that she was either barely involved with or didn't even vote for. If she was so great, then why the need to pad her résumé?
And over on NBC's The View the coven there was darn near in mourning. News flash ditzes -- Pelosi did not die nor did she resign from the House (as was falsely claimed on a number of programs), Anywho... they also attacked McCarthy for being "classless" for saying "It is official. One-party Democrat rule in Washington is finished. We have fired Nancy Pelosi." And Joy Behar huffed that the Republicans only won control of the House by cheating.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due.
Therefore, I commend Pelosi, Hoyer, and Clyburn for stepping aside from leadership and letting the next generation take over.
I wish the same would happen in the Senate for both parties.
