We Have the Photos: Biden's Cheat Sheet Makes Appearance as He Humiliates US Abroad

    • YOU, President Widodo [Indonesia], and Prime Minister Kishida [Cambodia] will take a photo directly before the event starts.
    • YOU will sit at the center, front tables alongside President Widodo and President von der Leyen [President of the EU].
    • Photos will be taken of the leaders seated around the table.
    • President Widodo delivers remarks (5 minutes) and introduces YOU.
    • YOU will deliver opening remarks (5 minutes), then introduce President von der Leyen.

Trying to imagine the leader of the free world needing reminders in writing like that...

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight

Stop trying to imagine it because he's not a leader. He just does whatever "they" tell him to do.

People abroad have vastly more respect for the US under Biden than they did under Trump. Trump was the great humiliator of the US abroad.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

People commonly use terms such as "the executive branch" or the "Trump administration" or the "Biden administration" with the understanding that it's a large team of people and the outputs that it produces are a large team effort. As far as the outputs for the country are concerned it doesn't seem relevant as to what proportion of the outputs are Biden's directly as compared to the people he's appointed and has around him. So it's not relevant whether he's doing what 'they' tell him.

            Your ignorance is showing again.

Joe has frequently referred to a mysterious "they" who tell him exactly what he is and is not allowed to do. He has even groused on occasion about how "they" won't let him make decisions, and that "they" won't be happy if he doesn't follow orders.

So it's more than just the usual political advisors which presidents traditionally refer to as "we". For Joe, it's clear that "they" are in charge, and he's just the figurehead.

Yeah, even Jimmy Carter didn't have to rely on cheat sheets, and he most certainly didn't read the "instruction" parts out loud .... 'end of quote, repeat line'...

Respect? Like when his loud smelly farts became the topic of conversation at a state dinner in Britain? They say it was all that Camilla would talk about that night (I think she was standing next to him when he first started to let 'em rip). Or when they are snickering at him as he wanders aimless around lost in a fog while everyone else is getting set to take a group photo forcing "Dr." Jill to chase after him and herd him back?

They may like old Joe. He works so very, very hard to be liked. Maybe why he keeps making up Water Mitty-like tall tales about his life -- trying to be one of the group he is with (hence his telling truckers that he too used to drive a big rig). And he is quick to pick up the tab, which the world has always liked. But it is inconceivable that they could respect him.

Every so often old Joe rails against his keepers, publicly whining that they tell him who to call on and what to say. The subject came up again during the press conference after the mid-terms when he said they gave him a list of which reporters to call on.

More than that, his keepers have the power to shut him up. Killing his mic while he is talking. I'm trying to imagine any other president putting up with his staff shutting him up like that. Reagan with his famous "I paid for this microphone" retort. And Obama would have simply lost it.

Or to run up to him while he's talking to a reporter during the White House Easter egg hunt, step between them and start waving their arms in his face telling him (the president) he needs to leave -- not because he's needed elsewhere, as could be seen as Biden just wanders off scowling, but to simply shut-up and move along.

Figured I'd add a bit of detail. It was during the same trip that Biden allegedly pooped his pants while talking to the Pope.

While the evidence for it, unlike Jerrold Nadler's notorious instance, is fairly weak, there is one interesting news story that does show that old Joe was having "digestion issues" that week. While talking with Prince Charles' wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, old Joe let loose with at least one long ripper that was so loud it stopped the conversation and cause the Duchess of Cornwell to blush.

I'm so glad we don't have a president who embarrasses us in front of the world.

In any case, old Joe made such an impression that the Duchess couldn't stop talking about it.

Perhaps this is the type of "leadership" they wish for themselves?

There was talk after old Joe was elected that his staff would basically act as Regents like they did for George IV. And how that the "grown-ups" and "professionals" were back in charge again.

They were fooling themselves and we're stuck paying the price.

So, I spent some time this morning Googling Joe's Gaffs, and trying hard to see them in the light of somebody who would defend or even admire him.
Quite honestly, I found a couple of examples that I think are 'over the top', in that they could be honest mistakes that any other person could make.

One was where he's mocked for saying "End of Quote - Repeat the line".
He actually started by saying he was providing a quote, so "end of quote" could be a legitimate "close quote" function.
But it's followed by a "repeat the line", which he faithfully does, so that example is iffy.

On the whole, however, there are just far too many examples that, if Trump or either of the Bushes had done them, would provide hours and hours of laughter on some of the not-so-funny late night shows.

The repeat the line addition pretty much ends any speculation that he was merely quoting.
