Compared to what one of the books contained back when parents started complaining at school board meetings (and were promptly labeled domestic terrorists as a result), and before Republicans were swept into power in Virginia as a result, these are actually tame. Not only can I not link to them, but I cannot even describe them here any more than I could describe a sex scene in an X-rated movie.

Yes, I remember one parent back then who was shut down by the School Board for simply describing what was in the book that was in the school's library. Still the book I linked to is porn.

Some folks would be smart enough to understand the difference about being asked a specific question and offering your opinion on a matter that nobody cares about.

No, I did not ask you for a diatribe concerning your solutions, I asked what is wrong with informing parents when these sexual topics come up, and offering them an alterative if they don't think they are appropriate for their kids. What is WRONG with THAT.

I am starting to think that maybe the Mandela Effect is real. This entire universe seems off the rails nuts. If anyone told people 20 years ago about 50 genders and boys being allowed to compete as women and change in girl's locker rooms, they would have been laughed out of the room as nuts. This world has become a dystopian nightmare of liberal insanity. Maybe we slipped into some alternate universe or something.

This is nothing but the "Change" Obama told us that the left had in store for us. This is what "Build Back Better" looks like.

Or it is a sign of the end times. Things are supposed to get crazy bad before Jesus comes back. Come soon, Lord Jesus!

There was no "diatribe" - look up its meaning.

I would like an answer to a specific question, that I have asked a number of times: what is wrong with informing parents when these sexual topics come up, and offering them an alterative if they don't think they are appropriate for their kids.

Suggesting that parents who object to morally questionable sexual teachings should put their kids in a private school is no answer...

I made no reference to "private school" and I addressed your remarks on the issue of parental notification.

Furthermore, what you deem to be "morally questionable sexual teachings" may not be deemed so by others.

Hence, if parents are your mind-set they can remove their offspring from the school to another whose curriculum is more in keeping with their own values.

However, yet again, all this comes down to sex and sexuality which have long been among the most popular topics of interest for many on the Right and Christian Right.

You said: Parents can always move their offspring to other scholastic institutions, or home school...

Furthermore, what you deem to be "morally questionable sexual teachings" may not be deemed so by others.
Exactly, so why not offer an alterative to parents?

Nope, not if most public schools are on the same page. And here, you have to send your kids to the public school in your district. If is very difficult to apply or get into a school not in your district.

Why wouldn't it be? Like I said these parents don't want the public schools, which they are also paying for, teaching their kids morally reprehensible ideas. Why are public schools in the business of sex in the first place?
