No, it's not okay to take an alleged perpetrator at his word, even when his story actually adds up. The fact is this guy's got anger issues, and substance-abuse issues besides based on his other advocacy, and rather than dealing with his problems, he spends his time spreading his problems about.
There's zero chance the escort headed toward him with two women in tow provoking an altercation. That means he accosted them. That means he's not sidewalk counseling. He's pushing himself into the faces of women heading in or out of clinics while abusing their escorts telling the lie that they're pro-abortion protestors, as if that was a thing that happens at PP clinics.
Maybe you're imagining women going into that clinic are going to feel more chummy about talking to this sidewalk counselor after he's knocked down a septuagenarian a couple times. And the twelve-year-old, is he a counselor, too? Maybe the younger women would feel more comfortable talking to him.
No, that's not how it works.
All the more reason not to assault and harass women going into clinics for the primary purpose of acquiring birth control.
PP clinics are composed of the standard waiting room out front with standard examinations rooms in the back, but with a security barrier between them to protect doctors and staff from the whackjobs y'all are defending.
Women come in — mostly by themselves, but sometimes with someone like me because y'all gotta turn a gyne exam into a battleground — sign their name up front and wait to be called. They go in, get pap scrubbed, poked for STDs, and mount up in the stirrups. A few minutes later they exit with three packs of pills and a scrip for three months more before they have to come in and repeat the process.
And they go out and live their lives, protected against unwanted pregnancies and the abortions y'all claim you're looking to prevent by harassing women seeking to prevent them.
Jesus wept.

When folks adopt a real term inappropriately, they run the risk of having no language left for appropriate alarm at the real thing when it arises.Originally posted by rogue06 View PostKinda like what has happened with racist, Islamophobe, sexist, white supremacist etc. When all of your opponents are fascists/racists/commies or whatever it becomes hard for someone to recognize the real thing when it comes along.
With the above in mind...

Houck's attorney says Houck had offered to appear in court voluntarily, but the DOJ rejected the offer and sent their goon squad instead.

A recent internal review conducted by the FBI found a shocking pattern of abuse in recent years
FBI agents have a long-standing pattern of breaking rules on investigations, and the bureau’s efforts to solve them did not eliminate the problems, according to more than six years of internal reviews obtained by The Washington Times.
The previously undisclosed data covering 2013 to 2019 documents more than 1,600 instances of broken rules on cases involving investigations that do not require warrants, the use of informants and undercover agents, and sensitive matters involving people engaged in politics, government, the news media and religious groups.
And the evidence indicates that things have not improved but only got worse.
Nobody is spoiling their once fine reputation. They're are managing to do that all by themselves.
After the Mid-terms, when the Republicans gain control of the House (and possibly Senate), there will be a number of FBI whistleblowers testifying just how far off the rails they have gone.

We know well enough that you cannot be reasoned with. But by your own account, there is change over time. If the end result is a baby, what was it before it changed into a baby? Pro-life types hold to a peculiar and wrong idea about the development of a fetus. They think the first step is the whole journey - it’s not. As with any journey, a person can decide to change course - completely autonomously, and of their own free will, given to them by God Almighty.

And yet when we pointed out apparent corruption in the FBI, you claim that is undermining trust in law enforcement. Maybe you think corruption in law enforcement is bad but nobody should point it out lest they undermine trust in law enforcement?

The first few months of pregnancy — the first trimester — are marked by rapid changes for both you and your baby.
For you, first trimester physical changes might include breast tenderness, fatigue and nausea. Your emotions might range from excitement to anxiety. For your baby, the first trimester is a time of rapid growth and development. Your baby's brain, spinal cord and other organs begin to form, and your baby's heart begins to beat. Your baby's fingers and toes even begin to take shape.
YOUR lies comfort the pro-abortion butchers
How much blood on your hands is too much, butcher?
