But more of a center-leftist with fairly normal left-wing policies, rather than the sort of extreme far-leftist that some here like to imagine. Teleport her to Europe and she'd fit right into any standard left-wing party there.

Aside from leaving out a whole lot of important data from your cherry picked statistics, the fact that this analysis comes from someone who think our economy is doing fine and that Stalin was really a right-winger, causes one to doubt any conclusions that you draw.

It's almost like you can't deal with the actual argument made and have to try and distract by attacking the person who made it rather than the argument.

It is their whole attitude, I saw a piece recently that the rise of violent crime in Italy was coming largely from immigrants. But the EU overlords are for the most part insulated from this. Like in this country, the elites are immune from their inane policies that the rest of us have to live under.

The data helps dispel the notion that immigrants have higher crime rates simply because they are mostly made up of young males. The data here simply compares crime rates between foreigners and natives who are from the same age groups, and it shows that foreigners account for a massively disproportionate share of the overall crime rate.

ISTAT also shows that the share of crime committed by foreigners has steadily increased in the last few decades. In 1990, foreigners represented 2.5 percent of those accused of crimes while in 2009, foreigners represented 24 percent of those accused of a crime. This troubling statistic has only grown worse over the years.

This is part of the reason I'm for term limits -- instead of career politicians, they should serve their 2-6 years, then go back into society to live under the laws they created.

Simply removing all of the exemptions they've established for themselves would do that.

But I think it's the fact that - absent term limits - they get so entrenched that they have the power to withstand a call from the citizenry to be less "royal".
