I wonder how many of them would have the same reaction if a cop stopped them and wanted to search their car. Or if tomorrow morning they were told by their boss to line up for a surprise drug test.

So inflation didn't get worse and that's "zero inflation?"

It's like falling out of an airplane without a parachute and then cheering when you reach terminal velocity "Look! We aren't falling faster any more! Zero Acceleration!"

That star bought such nonsense hook, line and sinker serves yet again to demonstrate that he has absolutely no understanding of economics -- which should come as little to no surprise.

To be honest, I suspect he knows better and is just trolling us.

Positives for Biden / the Dems:
                • Al Qaeda leader killed.
                • Chips Act to help US manufacturing signed.
                • Inflation Reduction Act negotiated, containing a lot of climate-change stuff.
                • 500k jobs added in July.
                • Inflation was zero in July, on the back of continuously falling oil prices.

                Negatives for Trump:
                • FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, reportedly searching for classified documents he inappropriately had. The FBI director and the judge who signed off on the warrant were both Trump appointees.
                • Trump testified in court and pled the 5th over 400 times in an ongoing investigation into insurance, bank and tax fraud by him, which his personal attorney Michael Cohen has publicly said he is guilty of. Trump has previously said only the mob and guilty people plead the 5th.
                • A judge ordered Trump's tax returns be turned over to the Democrats in congress investigating them.
                • The investigation into the fake-electors scheme in Georgia seems to closing in.
                • Pictures were released of documents ripped up and flushed down the toilet by Trump, confirming claims by multiple White House aides that Trump would regularly try to dispose of documents in this fashion in breach of legal requirements of presidential document preservation.
Overall it's been a huge news week and the hits have just kept coming. There's been so many I've probably forgotten a couple from this list.
A win for Biden is a loss for this country.

And it isn't really zero inflation rate either, it just means some things dropped a bit in price while others kept going up. I suspect the part going down is the gas prices because of less demand as summer winds down and people can't really afford to go on trips because they need the cash to buy groceries which are still going up.

Um, personally I consider a slow down in the rate of inflation as being a good thing for the country.

That's exactly what's happening. Gas prices are going down, but the price of consumables continues going up, so they cancel out and give the appearance of a one month zero rise inflation.

It's sort of like how people dropping out of the workforce offsets people going on unemployment which makes the unemployment rate appear to be artificially low.

Well it had nothing to do with him. The Fed raised interest rates.

But why is gas going down? I thought Putin's gas hikes were because he invaded Ukraine. Did he withdraw? Did he suddenly stop attacking so the price of oil would drop?

                            Putin, Putin, PUTIN!!!!

A reporter actually called out what's her name, the affirmative action bingo card press secretary about that, asking, "If Putin got the blame for gas prices going up, then why doesn't he get the credit for them going down?" As I recall, she stammered out a response that didn't really answer the question.

Isn't that the same as: If we are blaming Biden for the price of gas going up, then why doesn't he get the credit for it going down?
