Silly. I have an open mind. It's possible that he could have violated something. It should not be taking this long to reveal whether he did or not.
Of course they might have found something but don't feel compelled to publicize it yet.

OTOH, the longer they go the more it looks like they're still looking for justification.

This whole “declassified documents planted by the FBI” theme is baseless, absurd, and got legs on the right fringe. This would probably be a good time to point out while there are no legal consequences for spreading this lie for most of us, the rules are not the same for officers of the court. Ms. Bobb should take note.

The New York State appellate court temporarily suspended Mr. Giuliani’s law license on the recommendation of a disciplinary committee after finding he had sought to mislead judges, lawmakers and the public as he helped shepherd Mr. Trump’s legal challenge to the election results. For months, Mr. Giuliani, who was Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, had argued without merit that the vote had been rife with fraud and that voting machines had been rigged.

I've thought about that. If there were nuclear documents, I suppose it would be quite a sensitive thing just how to package that for the public. You would have to make it all intelligible to the average news consumer at the same time not revealing anything that some foreign nuclear scientist could gain technical insight from. This is a huge mess.

Prolly should have found a better post to attach your remark to since mine was addressing star's statement about Trump claiming to have not watched the raid on CCT.

Nobody would be talking about Trump watching the search if Bobb hadn’t shown up on FOX talking about the FBI planting documents.

              • Trump had 'standing order' to declassify documents taken to residence

Donald Trump's office told Just the News on Friday that the classified materials the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate were declassified under a "standing order" while he was president that allowed him to take sensitive materials to the White House residence at night to keep working.

The official statement is likely to become the focus of the president's legal defense as the FBI and Biden Justice Department investigate whether he stole records covered under the Presidential Records Act or mishandled classified materials under the Espionage Act, allegations included in a search warrant released by a federal court in Florida on Friday.

The president's defense is rooted in the legal principal that the president and vice president are the ultimate declassifying authority of the U.S. government and through executive orders most recently issued in 2003 by George W. Bush and Barack Obama in 2009 that specifically exempt the president and vice president from having to follow the stringent declassification procedures every other federal agency and official must follow.

They could disclose some info to members of House and Senate with sufficient security clearance. Then we could relive the days of Noony and Schiffhead making diametrically opposite statements with no ability to release actual info to support them.

                    • ISTM that both sides are kind of avoiding making any direct statements about the time from the June meeting to the raid. Were there any interactions at all? What kind, and what tone and tenor?

None of the three statutes cited on the warrant require the documents be classified in order for the conduct to be considered a crime. In particular, the espionage act predates executive classification protocols.

Doesn't the espionage act require that you had the intent to help a foreign enemy or country?

                            • If there is a formal charge forthcoming, it will be some hairsplitting technicality. Things like this can get so technical and nuanced that everything gets blurred. Confusion is setting in.

Seriously, why would Christina Bobb sign off on that? Is she a rookie? You would think a seasoned attorney would have demanded a clear and exact inventory of everything that was taken.
As someone with experience filling out search warrant inventories: because going into too much detail in the description can give people confidential information about the case that you desire to keep private for investigative reasons, and you know that the inventory is (or will be? I wasn't a Fed) public record. For example:

"Item 1: Defendant's black in color t-shirt with suspected bullet defect and suspected blood stain on left lower back portion" gives reporters and conspiracy theorists a lot of ammo try putting the pieces together. You've informed them that someone shot the defendant (not the victim) in the back, and that the defendant was likely injured. If that's not information you're prepared to make public just yet, then why do that when something like this suffices to satisfy the law:

"Item 1: black in color t-shirt", "Item 1: T-shirt with red stain", or something similar.

The primary purpose of an inventory is twofold: accountability for the government seizing valuable property belonging to the defendant, and allowing the court to have some oversight of the evidence management. The court will be privy to all the other documents related to the case, so they shouldn't have a hard time understanding what each item is. The court has no need for superfluous descriptors (like, don't identify the shirt color if you've only seized one shirt).

The other, more practical reason is time. Quite simply, why would I spend 400 words describing each item when three words will do? It's just unnecessary work, and frankly you're filling out those inventories after a long day careful searching and cataloguing a bunch of stuff, so it's already tedious and time consuming. I dunno how it works on the federal level, but on the state level returning the inventory is so routine and so low key that it's just the investigator filing out the form and swearing before a deputy clerk of court, who logs in it. No one reviews that until the case ends up before a judge or the prosecution file is submitted. So I wouldn't even be entirely certain that an attorney did review it. They might have for something of this magnitude.
"If you believe, take the first step, it leads to Jesus Christ. If you don't believe, take the first step all the same, for you are bidden to take it. No one wants to know about your faith or unbelief, your orders are to perform the act of obedience on the spot. Then you will find yourself in the situation where faith becomes possible and where faith exists in the true sense of the word." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship
