I am pointing out that some here hold the view that "their" version of Christianity is the only "true" version. That is both sanctimonious and hypocritical.

Where was the sexual deviancy in that video clip? The individual was dressed, albeit, somewhat flamboyantly.

Anyone or anything that does not conform with your own narrow thinking and prejudices you condemn. That was not [at least according to your gospels] the view taken by Jesus of Nazareth. In those texts we are given comments where he condemns such individuals.

Welcoming "ceremonies" are not typical. "Welcoming" is often used adjectivally to say that people of unconventional sexuality are "welcome" to attend the church and participate in events. However, it does not imply their unconventional appetites are approved; the adjective for churches that accept LGBTMXSPTLIK (or whatever) *behavior* is "affirming." Many churches are "Welcoming but not Affirming."
