Not Just the Dutch: Farmers Everywhere Fight for Survival Against Climate Change Activism

The most efficient system in history of growing food and getting it to consumers, modern farming, is under attack, blamed for causing climate change.

Dutch Government to Farmers: Reduce Your Operations by Up to 95 Percent

The world has watched as Dutch farmers fight for their economic survival against demands that they shrink their operations to suit the government's climate change agenda. The Dutch government has told farmers to cut ammonia emissions by 50 percent, and those near protected areas must reduce their operations by as much as 95 percent, or they must sell their land to the government and face a lifetime ban from farming.

Sri Lanka's ban of chemical fertilizers in farming caused the struggling nation's agricultural sector and economy to collapse. It ended with protestors frolicking in the presidential swimming pool after nation's president fled the country.

Sri Lanka was supposed to be the poster child for modern organic farming.
The World Economic Forum even proudly posted an article about Sri Lanka's expected success, written by the prime minister whose house was set on fire by protestors.

...the Biden Administration appears to be
coming after farmers. Steve Milloy, editor of the website Junkscience.com, writes that a new study by the EPA claims that air emissions from farms, basically farm dust, kill 17,000 Americans per year, the same EPA standards that basically killed the coal industry.

"These are people who want to control every aspect of our lives and that includes energy use and food use," Milloy says. "They believe food production is a major contributor to global warming, a major contributor to greenhouse gases, and they're not going to give up on agriculture. They don't like agriculture."

This is akin to the liberal nonsense that humanity is a virus and needs to be eliminated to save Mother Earth.

It was a full frontal assault on genetics by Stalin because its proposal that traits are fixed at birth opposed the Marxist idea of shaping and improving traits. Stalin denounced genetics and to a lesser extent biological evolution, as a Capitalistic pseudoscience and reactionary, condemned as "the whore of capitalism" (продажная девка капитализма). Consequently Russian dictionaries were rewritten to describe genes as being mythical concepts.

To give an example of how much influence Stalin had over Lysenko, according to Kirill O. Rossianov (a Senior Research Fellow at the Russian Academy of Sciences, who investigated Stalin's influence over Trofim Lysenko shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union) in his Stalin as Lysenko's Editor: Reshaping Political Discourse in Soviet Science, wrote that at Stalin's behest Lysenko added several paragraphs that directly criticized the German biologist and geneticist August Weismann to his speech delivered at the session of the Lenin Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VASKHNIL) held from July 31 through August 7, 1948 where conventional genetics was abandoned and Lysenko's neo-Lamarckian ideas were adapted.

I'll note here as an aside that Stalin did the same thing regarding the Theory of Evolution. Again, according to Rossiyanov

And [Stalin] insisted that Lysenko give a more detailed criticism of Darwin's Malthusianism. At the beginning of the section of Lysenko's talk entitled The History of Biology--A History of Ideological Battle, he wrote in the margins: "Defects of Darwin's theory?" As a result, Lysenko added a long insertion on Darwin's Malthusian errors--some two pages of printed text.

The point being, that in an ideological attack on science the fall out was felt even in such a common-sense area as agriculture. And as you said, "with disastrous consequences."

Second point; again I ask, is there an example of where on a large scale of some place that has instituted Green policies where it was successful?

I'm always still in trouble again

They want us to eat bugs. Literally. No, this is not a joke.

You will switch to bugs, and you will like it. After using government incentives and subsidies to build a new facility in London, Ontario, to manufacturer 9,000 metric tons of crickets for human consumption to replace cows, pigs and chickens, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau now triggers a series of nitrogen emission reduction regulations to target traditional farming.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is following the same roadmap as his political friend in the Netherlands, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and the Canadian farmers are not happy about it.

Climate change is happening whether some people wish to acknowledge that fact or not.

                            https://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard...9dustbowl.html

Siegfried Schubert of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md., and colleagues used a computer model developed with modern-era satellite data to look at the climate over the past 100 years. The study found cooler than normal tropical Pacific Ocean surface temperatures combined with warmer tropical Atlantic Ocean temperatures to create conditions in the atmosphere that turned America's breadbasket into a dust bowl from 1931 to 1939. The team's data is in this week's Science magazine.

These changes in sea surface temperatures created shifts in the large-scale weather patterns and low level winds that reduced the normal supply of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and inhibited rainfall throughout the Great Plains.

"The 1930s drought was the major climatic event in the nation's history," Schubert said. "Just beginning to understand what occurred is really critical to understanding future droughts and the links to global climate change issues we're experiencing today."

By discovering the causes behind U.S. droughts, especially severe episodes like the Plains' dry spell, scientists may recognize and possibly foresee future patterns that could create similar conditions. For example, La Niñas are marked by cooler than normal tropical Pacific Ocean surface water temperatures, which impact weather globally, and also create dry conditions over the Great Plains.

The researchers used NASA's Seasonal-to-Interannual Prediction Project (NSIPP) atmospheric general circulation model and agency computational facilities to conduct the research. The NSIPP model was developed using NASA satellite observations, including; Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System radiation measurements; and the Global Precipitation Climatology Project precipitation data.

The model showed cooler than normal tropical Pacific Ocean temperatures and warmer than normal tropical Atlantic Ocean temperatures contributed to a weakened low-level jet stream and changed its course. The jet stream, a ribbon of fast moving air near the Earth's surface, normally flows westward over the Gulf of Mexico and then turns northward pulling up moisture and dumping rain onto the Great Plains. As the low level jet stream weakened, it traveled farther south than normal. The Great Plains dried up and dust storms formed.

The research shed light on how tropical sea surface temperatures can have a remote response and control over weather and climate. It also confirmed droughts can become localized based on soil moisture levels, especially during summer. When rain is scarce and soil dries, there is less evaporation, which leads to even less precipitation, creating a feedback process that reinforces lack of rainfall.

The study also shed light on droughts throughout the 20th century. Analysis of other major U.S. droughts of the 1900s suggests a cool tropical Pacific was a common factor. Schubert said simulating major events like the 1930s drought provides an excellent test for computer models. While the study finds no indication of a similar Great Plains drought in the near future, it is vital to continue studies relating to climate change. NASA's current and planned suite of satellite sensors is uniquely poised to answer related climate questions.

NASA's Earth Science Enterprise funded the study. The Enterprise is dedicated to understanding the Earth as an integrated system and applying Earth System Science to improve climate, weather, and natural hazard prediction using the unique vantage point of space.

This is a fun one to unpack.

If we can eliminate farms altogether, there will be zero American deaths from farm dust every year ... because there will be zero Americans!

As far as eating bugs, I already eat a ton of them (literally over my lifetime) because of all the veggies I consume. And coffee - lots of 'em in coffee.

But I'm not about to endeavor to eat bugs - I'd rather crush them in the faces of elites first - but I'm not going to sweat that aspect of it.
