Some Americans appear to have no issues with driving their vehicles into groups of people with whose political views they disagree.

The same approach that some of us remember from an authoritarian government and its military employees in 1989!

[sarcarsm intended] What a pity that legislation did not exist in Charlottesville in 2017! Mr Fields could have used the excuse that he too was merely trying to "get out of Dodge".
Obviously we need to ban trucks immediately. No one has a right to own a truck.

It's your thread, babe. For now, I'm just going with the video clip you thought was most relevant in which we see a group of agitated protestors chasing down and attempting to surround a vehicle, and the driver very sensibly refusing to yield. If you think a longer clip might change that perception then perhaps you could trouble yourself to find it.

Here is a slightly different view. It shows that the protesters were attacking the truck and the driver was just trying to get away. He drove as slowly as he could until he was free then sped up. If he was trying to run down protestors he would have gunned the car while they were in front of him.

That is the same moment albeit shot from a different angle. He is clearly coming down the street.

                          A clarification of the facts.

Protestors walked out in front of on-coming traffic.

The law allows drivers to try to leave situations where they are surrounded by an angry mob.

Police released the driver without charges.

MSM still tries to blow incident all out of proportion while simultaneously ignoring repeated incidents of leftists deliberately driving into groups of conservatives or in the case of Waukesha where the carnage was just too much, then seek to minimize it and cover up embarrassing parts of it.

So much for the hysterical reports of him deliberately mowing down drivers and a moronic attempt to compare it to Tiananmen Square massacre

Yet another ignorance-fueled OP by H-A going down in flames.

Count down until when H_A frantically throws OP under the bus disavowing it commencing.

I'm always still in trouble again

Is anyone saying deliberately driving a truck into a crowd of protesters with intent to harm them is appropriate?

Good grief woman, of course he is coming down the street, he is trying to get away from the mob!

Somewhat as I suspected when I created this thread, there has there has been no criticism of the driver.

However, that is not surprising. After all these were women pro-choice protesters.
