            Yes, it's often uncomfortable to admit we were involved in something inappropriate, so it's a lot easier to try to minimize it.
            It's a classic understatement situation.

            She's listing it as a negative influence to her own life, not trying to defend it in any way, shape for form.
            The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
