                The key, as with abortion and the Holocaust, is to make everyone believe the Jew or the baby is not human.

                  The evil, IMHO, is in trying to take away personhood from someone who already has it.

                  Elephants and fetuses are not in that category yet. Jews and Democrats are.

                      I wonder if you could conduct a poll asking folks living in the 17th, 18th, 19th, even into the 20th century and asked if they thought that a "fetus"[1] was a human life what the result would be.
