  • Vice magazine tells people to take horse ulcer medicine for Abortions

    Source: https://www.vice.com/en/article/4ag3wn/how-to-videos-abortion-with-pills-mifeprstone-misoprostol-doctors-without-borders

In the same amount of time it takes you to boil an egg, or answer an email, a new online video will show you how to end a pregnancy with pills.

Animated figures, accompanied by voice-over narration, take viewers through the process step by step: When to take the mifepristone, the first part of the two-part drug regimen for medication abortion; how long after that to take the misoprostol, how to place those pills under the tongue; and when to expect the cramping and bleeding, which signal that the passing of the pregnancy has begun. The 11-minute video also provides instructions on how to relieve pain or discomfort, and when to seek medical help. At the very beginning, it tells viewers how safe and effective this abortion method is, and how low the rate of complication.

Misoprostol for Gastric Ulcers in Horses

January 1, 2020 By Kentucky Equine Research Staff

Many horse owners automatically think of omeprazole when gastric ulcers occur, and they aren’t wrong to do so. Several studies show that omeprazole heals ulcers, particularly those in the squamous region of the stomach, by decreasing the production of gastric acid. Other treatment options include sucralfate, an agent that binds to the damaged tissues to promote healing, and a medication called misoprostol.

Well, if that isn't an interesting development. Who's going to line up to tell people to take horse ulcer medication?

Misoprostol is already used in humans to instigate spontaneous abortion. It is also used in humans as a way to prevent ulcers. The use on horses came second. This is equivalent to the Ivermectin "horse paste" nonsense.

This medication is used to prevent stomach ulcers while you take NSAIDs (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen), especially if you are at risk for developing ulcers or have a history of ulcers. Misoprostol helps to decrease your risk of serious ulcer complications such as bleeding. This medication protects your stomach lining by lowering the amount of acid that comes in contact with it.This medication is also used in combination with another drug (mifepristone) to end a pregnancy (abortion).

Misoprostol is also a common human drug for ulcers. Many human drugs are also used on animals.
