Perhaps the best write up about the news coming out about Hunter and old Joe which the majority of the MSM is determined to ignore.

Source: The Only People More Corrupt Than Joe Biden Are The Journalists Covering Him

When Rachel Maddow got her hands on the first page of one of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns it was a “STOP THE PRESSES!!!!” moment for the leftist media. All that showed was Trump had paid a ton in taxes that year, but the left would not be bound by reality and widely speculated about what the rest of the return, the pages they’d never seen, could possibly say. That level of curiosity – obsession, really – has not only waned when it comes to Joe Biden’s finances, it has dried up completely.

The current occupant of the presidency regularly insists, as recently as the past week, he was the “poorest member of Congress” during his Senate career. The intrepid reporters, likely with offices littered with awards, have never expressed any curiosity as to how someone so “poor” could afford multiple mansions in his home state. Joe Biden is blessed with an incurious press who wear the Democrats uniform under their business suits.

But even the most loyal media lapdog has to be a bottom, don’t they? A point at which they simply have to acknowledge reality and at least entertain the possibility that their leader could be less than honest, to put it in terms they might be comfortable with.

For the left, however, there is no bottom. There are still members of the press who view Bill Clinton as a champion of women’s rights and Hillary as one of the biggest boosters of women, even after the facts, allegations, and managing the “bimbo eruptions.” Some people live so far up their own rear end that they’ve gone full circle, with their heads back up their own heads again. That’s where journalists live.

You have to go to either the New York Post or the UK Daily Mail to find a story about Joe Biden, that poor average guy, agreeing to pay three-quarters of a million dollars in legal bills for his crack-addicted son. He does so seemingly without question or much thought. Maybe Joe is the most generous person ever, though his history of stinginess when it comes to charitable donations suggests otherwise.

No, there’s something else going on here.

When Joe Biden is paying the legal bills of Hunter’s overseas business adventures, don’t you think the subject of what these legal bills were for might come up? Joe took in a lot of money after he left the White House, enough to buy a third mansion, but it wasn’t billions. After taxes, laying out almost a million is going to leave a mark.

But we’re supposed to believe they never discussed it. Joe and Hunter never talked about his Chinese communist government business partners? Or any of this other foreign business partners, many of whom Joe had met with at private dinners, parties, and golf outings, not to mention the guy who’d gone to the White House 19 times, even meeting with then Vice President Biden at least one of those times. Did Joe think he was meeting with Hunter’s partner in his Chinese businesses because he was just a friend of his kid?

Joe is dumb, but not that dumb.

It’s clear Joe Biden lied to the American people, repeatedly. And it’s not even a significant portion of the question and answer session at the White House daily press briefing. If it’s not a reporter from Fox, you can pretty much count on the question not being asked. They simply don’t care.

There are some questions people don’t ask because they know they won’t like the answer, and there are questions so-called journalists won’t ask because they already know the answer and they don’t want anyone else to hear it.

The Democrat Media Industrial Complex circled the wagons around Joe years ago, but that circle is breaking down. Can they plug those holes? Can they ignore the facts staring them in the face long enough to limp past the midterms at least?

When Joe Biden’s financial disclosure forms and tax returns show a $5.2 million difference, and not a single journalists or media outlet noticed before now because they didn’t bother to look, the answer might be a resounding yes.

It isn't that the press does care. They care. A lot. Which is why they are spiking the stories.

Read an editorial recently that the Democrats and their media allies may have screwed Joe by insisting that the laptop story was Russian disinformation. The implication at the time was that the story, if true, would have disqualified Joe as a candidate, so instead they just dismissed the whole thing as false. Now that they have been forced to admit that the story is true, they really can't suddenly backpedal and pretend that it's no big deal.

These folks have been straight-out gaslighting us for years. I'm sure they'll have no trouble being complete hypocrites.

The bias is as clear as day. It was as clear as a day during the Trump term, as opposed to how they covered and defended Hillary's misdeeds. But it would be impossible to convince a democrat like Stoic of that bias. At this point, it's hard to tell if they're actually all collectively gaslighting, or if they're not just part of a political cult and really believe the the lies and deceit they spew. Either scenario has been disturbing to behold.

I think all profit-driven news sources are biased to some extent. As a general rule, they are biased towards giving their audience what it wants. If their audience is conservative, they will have a conservative bias. If their audience is liberal, they will have a liberal bias. It's all a matter of keeping the audience tuned in so they can sell as much advertising as possible, to make as much profit as possible. The more divided our country becomes along conservative/liberal lines, the more divided our news sources will be.

Not saying it's a good thing...

It's even worse when the bias news sources make up lies and false stories to bolster their political bias even more. I haven't seen that with Fox News recently (as far as MSM news sources go), or at least not anywhere near as much as I've seen in the last 5 years. And I honestly don't remember a time there was a coordinated effort between politics, government, and media to hide a story like we saw with the Hunter laptop story. Maybe I just haven't been interested in politics long enough to compare that to another story.

The news side of Fox News was pretty good, at least when Shepard Smith and Chris Wallace were there. Perhaps it still is. But I suspect an awful lot of their viewers think Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham are news sources.

Perhaps you didn't notice the coordination between Fox News, the Trump administration, and other Republicans in congress and at the state level, hiding the story that there was no significant fraud during the 2020 election.

I didn't give an opinion on whether Fox News was good or bad, just that I've not seen the level of lies and deceit reporting I've seen from liberal MSM in the last 5 years, many stories that had huge consequences on politics and society. As far as election fraud, there was election fraud. The question is whether it was significant enough to affect the election outcome, particularly in swing states, which is debatable. But assuming there was zero election fraud, that's one story Fox News endorsed. Congrats you found a story to every dozen deceitful stories liberal MSM endorsed in the last 5 years, one of which (the laptop story) apparently affected the election outcome according to polls about the story and the cover-up.

Maybe the majority of media outlets don't bother reporting it because there's nothing worth reporting about it?

Just because right wing extremist propaganda outlets have worked themselves into a frenzy believing that the laptop records Joe drinking the blood of children while telling Hunter to kill JFK, or whatever nonsense it's supposed to have done in the paranoia fueled conspiracy land of the crazy right, doesn't mean anybody else is obliged to take an interest.

It's pretty amusing you guys here seem convinced that they're just about to 'get' Joe because of it, when the isn't even an investigation into Joe. It's like watching the people desperately hoping the Mueller investigation would 'get' Trump all over again, only this time there isn't even an investigation of him, so the ones hoping it gets him are 100x as pathetic and amusing.

Pretend as you might it was the left who felt it necessary to concoct and fabricate fake news stories such as
                        • The Collusion Delusion
                        • The Ukraine Hoax (Adam Schiff's concocted version of the call got ruined by Trump releasing the transcript)
                        • Trump was Putin's puppet (even some of Obama's people are now admitting he was incredibly tough on him)
                        • Trump called Hispanics "animals"
                        • The Juneteenth lie
                        • Trump praised the Neo-Nazis at Charlottesville
                        • Trump cut the CDC budget
                        • The Japanese fish feeding fraud
                        • Trump called those in the military "suckers and losers"
                        • Trump called Covid a hoax (repeated continually even after several liberal fact checkers exposed it as false)
                        • The Park in front of the White House was cleared with teargas for a Trump photo op

OTOH, even when he wasn't senile. old Joe has for decades been known as a "walking gaffe machine" (a label that he once used himself) and his former boss and good buddy Obama famously stated "Never underestimate Joe's ability to [f-bomb] things up."

Virtually everything he has touched has turned into a dumpster fire, and he still thinks that the worst military blunder since the days of WWII (the series of cluster FUBARs that was the Afghanistan route) was, in his words, an "outstanding success" and that he has "outperformed" everyone in his first year as president. He is so out of touch he thinks "Let's Go Brandon" is a freaking compliment. During that phone call before Christmas when that guy said the phrase, old Joe chuckled and repeated it. Then there was this where he plays one of the songs based on the phrase:

Being herded away by the Easter Bunny, who stepped in between them waving its arms as he was talking to reporters, to get him to stop talking is just one of the latest facepalms. He's actually had a few since then.

The thing was that nobody had to make stuff up about Trump either. His mouth was always getting him in trouble. But that wasn't good enough for y'all so you kept making crap up. The right has been smart enough not to keep crying wolf and has simply let the duffer's words -- and especially his actions -- speak for themselves.

The Hunter laptop has exposed old Joe as a corrupt politician, getting kickbacks from his son's overseas business dealings where all the latter has to offer is access to his father. Biden repeatedly claimed he never even spoke to Hunter about his business dealings but the record shows that he had multiple meetings with various business partners -- including at least one in the White House. And he has been positively identified as "the big guy" who got 10% from a deal -- which is what Hunter referred to him in an email to his sister as when he complained he wasn't all that rich because "the big guy" got 10% of everything he made.

But go ahead keep making up wild stories ("believing that the laptop records Joe drinking the blood of children while telling Hunter to kill JFK") of the sort you would have told about Trump and expected everyone to believe, because you think everyone is like you.

I'm always still in trouble again

"Joe drinking the blood of children while telling Hunter to kill JFK"? What are you even talking about? What the information on the laptop shows is that Joe illegally used his power and influence as vice president to enrich himself and his family, literally selling out his own country to the highest bidder, even if that bidder is one of the biggest enemies of the United States. In fact, the revelations are so damaging and disqualifying that the media couldn't just dismiss it as no big deal. Instead, they glommed onto the "Russian disinformation" lie as an excuse to ignore what is one of the biggest political scandals in years.

It's hard to keep up with the ever changing and bizarre right-wing conspiracies, so that was my satirical summary of some of the QAnon ideas. Were you one of those waiting in line to see JFK Jr returned to life?

Okay, sure. It's hard to keep track of all the various things right-wingers have been claiming lately as they froth at the mouth.

I'm pretty sure you wrote many posts defending Trump's family for doing that sort of thing though. Have you had a change of heart and now believe that sort of thing is bad? Can we expect you to thoroughly denounce Trump's family for it?

Do you think Trump and Biden will get locked up for this sort of thing like Hillary did? Hmm, wait, did anyone ever Lock Her Up? I can't quite remember. Please remind me as to whether powerful people in America are ever held to account for this sort of thing, and why we should hold our breath waiting for it to happen to Biden in the event that your unlikely claims about the laptop happened to actually be true?

That's the thing. They're finally reporting about it now, over a year later. So clearly it was worth reporting about. So much so, that they tried to suppress it in order to save their candidate (and that appears to have worked - that, more than anything, was the 'stolen election'). Now that he's president and shown himself inept and clearly senile, they're willing to report on it.

As to the rest of your post, spare us the hyperbolic nonsense.
