    Clearly the worst thing ever?

Finally, the lesson plan has the teacher leading a class project to create a rainbow flag, with instructions to “gather students on the rug,” “ask them to show you their flags,” and “proudly hang the class flag where they can all see it.”
I was never good at art, I can get behind your apparent desire to ban art projects.

Randi Weingarten says parental rights bills are 'the way in which wars start'

American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten warned that legislation similar to Florida's recent parental rights bill may have dire consequences.

"This notion – we've been very lucky in America, and we in some ways live in a bubble for a long time," Weingarten said. "This is propaganda. This is misinformation. This is the way in which wars start. This is the way in which hatred starts."

"Educators welcome parent involvement in schools because our kids do best when teachers, parents and caregivers work together," said AFT president Randi Weingarten in a statement to Fox News earlier this week. "We have a lot to do to help kids recover and thrive this year after two years of an unprecedented pandemic. So rather than help us help our kids socially, academically and emotionally, these vocal minorities want to marginalize LGBTQ kids, censor teachers and ban books."

Source: Are You SURE You Aren’t Transgender? Colorado Schools Think Otherwise

Hey kids! If you aren’t 100 percent comfortable in your body, you may be transgender!

Highly concerned Wellington, Colorado mother, Erin Lee, sent her 12-year-old daughter to school one day where she attended an after-school art club. There was no drawing, painting or coloring in this art club though. It actually turned out to be an undercover lecture from the Gender and Sexualities Alliance (GSA).

In the class, the instructor from a group called SPLASH told the students, “What you hear in here, keep in here,” which Lee pointed out was the teacher’s “number one rule,” according to a Fox News report. The teacher also told the students that it's okay to lie to their parents about attending her lecture and future lectures because “parent’s might not be safe."

The instructor reportedly told Lee’s daughter that if she isn’t sure who she’s sexually attracted to - yes, at the ripe age of 12 - then “that means you’re queer." Following that lie, the presenter passed out queer stickers, flags and bracelets to help these kids tout their pride. One bracelet had the words “Sounds gay, I’m in” on it.

The mother said that the GSA member “told the kids that if they’re not fully comfortable in their body, then they are transgender. So essentially told my daughter if she’s not 100% comfortable in her female body, that she is transgender.” Really?

Like any sane mother would do, Lee reached out to the presenter and the school, was assured not to be alarmed and that these lectures are always held in secret. How comforting.

Fox News obtained emails from Parents Defending Education where the GSA speaker asked the teacher to remind Lee’s daughter that the “room is a safe space." This wacko needs to know that no place where the indoctrination of kids takes place should be considered “safe."

The emails also cited the Equal Access Act as reason to deny parents transparency on what is going on at schools. Over in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis (R) just passed the Parental Rights in Education bill, which prohibits discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity while allowing parents to sue if schools teach these disgusting topics and/or are not transparent about them. Passing this bill in all public schools would be highly beneficial.

Kids don't need to learn about sexual orientation. Kids don't need to learn about gender identity. Kids don't need to spend time thinking about who they’re sexually attracted to. And kids don't need to be told which letter of the Alphabet Mafia they're in or told to keep secrets from their parents, ESPECIALLY from schools. Kids are kids. Period.

Kudos to Lee for taking her daughter out of the disgusting public school she once attended.

I actually had a girlfriend in Florida when I was in first grade. Lisa.

We were besterest of buddies. We sat together at lunch and I would go over to her house to play after school.

Interestingly, at the time we moved up to D.C., she moved to Texas. Then one day, while sitting in an economics class in a college in Georgia I discovered she was one of my classmates!

Unfortunately, by then, we had absolutely nothing in common.

This is sad, but I really never had girls as friends when I was young, of course I had my share of girlfriends. But I was always running with the pack...

As I got older that was pretty much the case here, and the longest I ever went out with the same woman is nearly four years -- over twice as long as the next -- and that was very recently. Most of my relationships can be measured in months.

Months, except for my marriage, I measured them in weeks - of course it was never my fault!

Meh. I've long known that I'm not an easy person to be around for extended periods of time. And then when they start asking what my long term intentions I tell them that they're the same as when we started going out -- something I made very clear.
