Word is that the Russian army is slowly encircling the Ukrainian defense force in the Donbas region and cutting them off from critical supply lines that had been stretched across the country to deal with the Russian army near Kiev that has since withdrawn.

Col. Macgregor, who has consistently had some of the best analysis of the conflict on the US airwaves, wonders how the Western propaganda machine will respond as, contrary to their narrative, Russia gets closer and closer to achieving its ultimate objective.

What "Western propaganda" is being suggested here? The Western consensus I am seeing is that Ukraine may lose the east for several reasons, including the strength of Russian forces in that region.

I'm referring to the "botched invasion" narrative, among other unsupported talking points. When looked at objectively, Russia seems to be very patiently and methodically executing its war plan.

Disagree. Just because Russia is doing better in the east doesn't mean this is how they planned it all along. There is no logical reason for Russian troops to camp out in Kyiv suburbs for nearly two months. There is no reason for Lavrov to call it a "tragedy" when speaking of their troop losses, which were significant.

Exactly. By any measure the Russians botched the invasion. That does not mean that they will lose, but rather if they win it was at a far higher cost than they envisioned.
