I think they will get around to that too. They will announce that now that the worst is over we can eliminate the mandates, or some other excuse. But the real reason is they are worried about losing votes. They might be holding off till closer to the election so they can ride the wave of relief and good will to the voting booth.

I think... if... it's related to anything political, it's just that the Dems looked really bad getting caught in their hypocrisy of not following their own mandates about masks. Masks don't have any political significance to them and the elections.

But none of those have as a direct impact on my life as the Covid restrictions have.

All of them were opposed as government overreach. (None of them were as invasive as a vaccine mandate, but there have been other vaccine mandates.) All of them were expensive.

All of them were justified on the basis of promoting the general welfare, same as the COVID restrictions.
