Well yeah that happens around here. You saw an outrageous incident and posted it to make some kind of point I guess. Welcome to tweb, Sean. This is what many of us including yourself have done.

And then there's the two masked white women who tried to force a black man out of an elevator because he wasn't wearing a mask. One woman hit him with her phone, and the other woman said, "Black lives matter!" as if that somehow excused their behavior.

Now this was worth a thread because this was actually kind of funny. But then when you move passed the humor, it gets pretty creepy and interesting when you try and figure out why they were chanting "black lives matter" to a black guy they were physically assaulting.

I don't care about the "olden days". That is a strawman you are beating up. You are dodging my point on one hand and excusing it as backlash on the other.
Yes, I don’t see the equivalence between two names versus the hundreds that society eventually made taboo to make fun of. Again, in proportion to the misery heaped upon people of color for centuries, it’s not something that concerns me.

Neither is the negative connotation tied to the word “boomer,” BTW. I know Rogue and Cowpoke tried to call term bigoted, as well, recently.

Honestly, I listened, I couldn't tell if they were proclaiming "Black Lives Matter" or calling him "Black Lives Matter". It seemed at one point they were calling him by that as a moniker.

There were some pretty interesting twitter comments about it and I thought these two were probably the closest plausible answers:

They think it morally offsets the actual assault of a black man that they are perpetrating.
Their programming defaulted when they realized she hit him. Race is at the forefront of the leftist mind, so she needed to immediately identify her position.

That logic should make me be offended at the “Let’s Go Brandon” craze, but somehow I can’t be bothered to be bothered by it. There’s no preventing these backlashes, and this one in particular seems relatively minor and well deserved given the preponderance of white entitlement.

The funniest idea ever was commanding people to be parents while knowing most will be bad parents.

You somehow forgot that was the biblical justification for conquest. Hilarious.
