since I never said Hillary conceded gracefully or that the dems did not contest elections, I still don't know what you are talking about.

I did point out that when the legal options available to courtest an election were exhausted, all that went before Trump (specifically Gore and Clinton) conceded the election for the good of the country.

      Can you parse the difference?

Do you understand that the difference between what i actually said and how you restated what I said makes your claim false, wrong, and completely in error?

Except neither of those things happened. You're simply spewing falsehoods. This thread is evidence of your claims being utterly and completely false.

It has been fascinating to watch CNN respond to Biden's declaration that if the steal the vote legislation isn't passed then the 2022 elections won't be legitimate.

Thursday afternoon Jake Tapper's interview of Peppermint Pat... Jen Paski was a surprise. On The Lead Tapper actually lit into her when he pointed out that old Joe plainly said the elections won't be legitimate to which Paski responded that we shouldn't believe our lying ears because in reality he was supposedly complimenting Americans on overcoming voter suppression efforts in 2020.

Maybe he figured it was his job to do the gaslighting or maybe he didn't appreciate a fellow traveler trying to gaslight him because Tapper would have none of it, firing back

He was directly tying the legitimacy of the November elections with the election reform bills that failed last night. He was asked a clear question and said it depends.

Tapper then played old Joe's response to Allison Harris' question and added after it finished,

I mean, isn't the correct answer, “if this isn't passed do you believe the upcoming election will be fairly conducted and legitimate;” isn't the correct answer, “yes, it will be fairly conducted and legitimate?”

He then finished by asking an obvious question

If we're saying that there is no election that's legitimate if there are efforts to suppress the vote, then when has there ever been a legitimate election in this country? Trying to suppress American votes has been going on since the founding of this country?

If you closed your eyes you mighta thought he was grilling a Republican or that Fox News was on .

But then if you also saw CNN Newsroom the same day, you knew it was CNN you were watching as they were in full spin mode trying to alleviate the damage old Joe had wrought.

Host Alisyn Camerota acted as if she couldn't understand what the big deal was because there are Republicans "who supported Trump's false election claims won elections to serve as local judges and election inspectors," quickly adding "This is what President Biden was referring to, I think."

Yeah, tell us what the duffer REALLY™ meant and ignore what he plainly said. Pretty much the typical tactic of the supposed "fact checkers" when it comes to liberals.

Politico White House correspondent Laura Barron-Lopez agreed that we should ignore what old Joe said and only pay attention to what they are telling us he meant, and proceeded to scold any of her fellow journalists for getting "distracted" by what old Joe said during his press conference

But it also shouldn't distract us in the press from the larger point and that’s that there is one party that is overwhelmingly perpetuating election lies and there are a lot of Republican candidates that are running on the basis of furthering those lies and are running saying that they may not certify future election results or that they wouldn't have certified the 2020 election results ... So these are legitimate concerns and to compare Biden's comments yesterday to years of Trump sowing, sowing doubt about the election, saying that it was rigged, saying that it was stolen, is a false equivalence.

Of course that is predicated on everyone ignoring how the left, including old Joe himself, for over four years sought to sow doubt about the 2016 election, saying that it was rigged, saying that it was stolen (see HERE for what Hillary and Biden had said, and HERE for all the other Democrats as well as MSM which gets the vapors when Trump contested an election).

It appeared that Camerota's co-host, Victor Blackwell, might have been a bit embarrassed by what was being said and felt the need to quote what Biden said and not what everyone was saying he meant

To be clear about what the president said, just so we have the quote as part of the conversation, what the president said was 'the prospect of an illegitimate election is in direct proportion to us [not] being able to get these reforms passed,' suggesting that if these laws are not passed, the John Lewis Voter Rights Act and others, that, that could be related to a legitimate or illegitimate election in 2022.

I bolded the part that reveals that until then nobody had actually quoted Biden but instead only gave their spin of it, like they were Adam Schiff talking about the Ukraine phone call hoax.

And, I'll note that they immediately changed the subject after Blackwell's remark.

The next morning, CNN consultant and co-host, Ana Navarro, joined the shrews on ABC's The View and seemed considerably less than pleased that Paski (who was a guest) had repeated walked back old Joe's claims that the 2022 election will not be legitimate unless he gets his way[1]:

Jen, during his marathon press conference, the President also suggested that the next election could be illegitimate if we don't pass voter protections. You’ve clarified that he was talking about Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 results.

But as we speak, there are many, many state measures that would curtail the ability to vote and make it harder to vote by mail, there’s 160 big-lie loyalists who are running for statewide positions that will give them authority over our elections.

So without reforms, why should voters have faith in the legitimacy of the next election?
