I am against all censorship of literature. Firstly what do you understand by an opinion? The following gives three options to consider.
    • a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
    • a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
    • the formal expression of a professional judgment:

Secondly, what particular works of literature do you have in mind?

It is on Bebelplatz in Berln and is part of a memorial to the 1933 book burnings that took place in the city.

I wish I had all of albums that went up in smoke. Some are probably worth thousand$ today.

Freedom of expression means that everybody has a right to put their ideas out there, including -- and perhaps especially -- ideas that one disapproves of. As the saying goes, "Offensive speech is protected speech by definition, because inoffensive speech needs no protection." This, of course, does not mean that everything is appropriate for everybody, and so placing some restrictions on what is accessible depending on the audience is prudent and acceptable, but that simply means removing inappropriate material, not burning it.

Poor John Lennon. He tried so hard to dig himself out from under that one, but he wasn't wrong. I mean, there weren't thousands of screaming teenagers showing up at churches to learn about Jesus.

Yup. Definitely a quote taken out of context and gave the wrong impression. And since none of The Beatles were particularly articulate, Lennon wasn't able to clarify what he meant in subsequent interviews. The book-burners needed to read the quote in context, but apparently never bothered.

As I've noted elsewhere the images in some of those books weren't of "simulated" sex or suggesting sex or like what they do in R rated movies. It was hard core porn. The sort that gets an X rating and the sort I can't post even censored images of giving how graphic some were.

Definitely not fit for a school library's shelves.

I'm always still in trouble again

And as the word "opinion" has at least three definitions you need to decide which definition you are going to employ.
