It is a stupid ideal. So I can't say that rape is a moral wrong unless I experience rape? And I don't get to force my anti-rape opinions on the rapist?
Atheism is the cult of death, the death of hope. The universe is doomed, you are doomed, the only thing that remains is to await your execution...

If you are specifically referring to abortion then I would offer one caveat. When the opinions of men are enforced via legislation then abortion becomes a political football.

I do not deny that many women are also anti-abortion but I suspect most legislatures in the USA and indeed most churches in the USA are male dominated.

            That is a non-answer.

            You said:

Which the question that follows is:

It is an answer that qualifies my original comment. Men have no right to force their opinions [i.e. by legislation or physical force] concerning abortion on women seeking the freedom of choice.

Men are free to express concern and their ethical views but they do not have the ethical right to prevent a woman making a decision about her own body.

But it doesn't answer the question:

It answers the question with specific reference to men trying to prevent [either by legislation or physical force] women seeking safe and legal abortion.

So, are you saying it's a special carve-out?

It's a bogus argument quickly abandoned when inconvenient.

For instance, the correspondent in question has used the argument that since men can't get pregnant they should butt out of discussions concerning abortions on previous occasions. But when I pointed out that she had no trouble with it when 9 male members decided Roe v. Wade I got crickets in response.

I'm always still in trouble again

                        That was actually funny!

She has ZERO experience in law enforcement, yet she is rather free about challenging others who have.

So , how come a woman gets to decide if a male fetus that she is carrying gets to live or die?

First time I ran across this mentality was in the60s when someone was arguing that you can't legitimately talk about drugs unless you had taken them.
