My father, and then my husband after I was married, happily paid for my sanitary protection. I guess when I was 12 I should have gone out and got a job so my dad wouldn’t have been on the hook to do that for me, since it was absolutely none of his business.

P.S. I have 4 sisters, and my amazing Dad looked after each of us in this way, as well as my mom.

As for mossrose she seems to have a particular animus towards me as is regularly displayed by her tone.

In point of fact post #9 [below]was the first comment on what Jesus might have looked like and the first reference to ECFs and Celsus.

Interestingly the earliest references to his appearances describe him as being someone who wasn't much to look at. Both Tertullian and and Irenaeus describe him as being rather homely. So do a number of noncanonical Christian works. One thing that seems to be repeated by nearly all was that he was short. The anti-Christian philosopher Celsus called him "short and ugly" and I don't recall Origen contradicting that in his response to him.

Whether or not these are accurate is obviously up for debate but it is interesting that they don't match up anywhere close to modern depictions.
