Pretty much like now.
IIRC, Hillary tried something similar. She took off almost all of July back in 2016 and that was likely as bad a mistake as listening to her staff over her husband when he told her not to take Wisconsin and Michigan for granted.

Now Biden is calling the American people stupid and saying they don't understand Supply Chain economics.
"If we were all going out and having lunch together and I said, 'Let’s ask whoever's in the next table, no matter what restaurant we’re in, have them explain the supply chain to us.' Do you think they’d understand what we’re talking about?" Biden asked.
Later he blames the press and says they can't explain the supply chain either. Apparently only he can do that. But he never does.

No, wait, instead he's complaining about "racist" highways.
The theory is that some highways in the US were built to divide communities by race, and he's going to fix it. Somehow.

It went something like this: A candidate wants as much exposure as possible leading up to the primaries, and once won, to recede into the background. Then wants as much exposure as possible again starting around September for the general election. It all had something to do with the general voter psyche and attention span. The experts have it all figured out.

Highways are obviously racist. Assume that more conservatives are white, and more liberals are black. You can only drive on the right in the US or you get pulled over."I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. Biden is making a dumb speech about the "supply chain"
He is blaming it on climate and covid. Claiming that problems in other parts of the world causes shortages, etc.
Except that isn't what the supply chain problem is that we have right now. The goods are right there sitting on ships that can't be unloaded. Not a shortage problem, a transportation problem.

I read some details of Biden's plan to deal with the issues. My initial reaction was none of the actions will quickly have an impact."For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings." Hosea 6:6
