he is saying the liberals are the darkness, and its good because they are blind to what the conservatives are doing. vader, and satan are all clueless to the plans of the "light"

the "power" is what the good guys have over the darkness because they are in the dark.

The problem with that potential interpretation is that for it to work, he has to consider Cheney to be a liberal, as he has Cheney mixed in with Vader and Satan as part of the "darkness." For all I know maybe he does think that (looking for information on what Bannon thinks of Cheney is kind of fruitless now because all you find is that quote), but it would seem odd.

Like I said, I feel that we're getting a confusing quote because it has some kind of context we're missing.

As opposed to bragging to your friends about how wonderful a restaurant was, then you invite your friends to go with you, and the service is horrible, the food is nasty.....
