Want to argue about politics? Healthcare reform? Taxes? Governments? You've come to the right place!
Try to keep it civil though. The rules still apply here.

Originally posted by rogue06 View PostMy parents tell me the reason I speak loudly was back in kindergarten, as I was going deaf, I would keep talking louder because I couldn't hear myself speak. I still mispronounce some words because that's how I heard them. Took years for me to realize it is "Surprise" and not "suprise."
He was STONE DEAF, but we had those wireless "assisted hearing" devices - basically an FM radio receiver - that he would wear with a "cup" over his ear for the sound. He would sit in church listening to the service.
One day, in the middle of my sermon, I saw him get up and walk to the back to the sound board guys, and yell at the top of his voice "THIS THING ISN'T WORKING".
Everybody just kinda chuckled a little, and I went on with my sermon, but it's a classic case of - if you can't hear, you assume nobody else can either.
