I've only heard him twice. The stuff being presented on there was just blatantly false. The other time, I checked out his intro promo and within five seconds I turned it off because he was just randomly yelling profanity.
His general schtick seems to be that he does long-form interviews with an extremely broad spectrum of people, both mainstream and crazy, and is pretty credulous about what they tell him.

I don't really understand the appeal - there are plenty of long-form interviews with fewer crazy people in other sources.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

I get the appeal of wanting to learn something "secret" (or heterodox), but given that he's probably the most popular podcaster in the world, that puts a wrench into things. It's like how the rock band Muse brings in millions of dollars singing about vague Illuminati type conspiracy theories.
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

The problem is you're underestimating the resistance against PC and CRT loony leftism and the powerful attractive force that has. Whenever you have a leftist that leaves the loony SJW reservation and becomes somewhat level-headed in his opinions, yet don't become a full-on Fox News conservative, they become a popular voice, and it's even better if they're regularly attacked by that loony SJW faction. Now add to that the fact he already had success in pop culture prior and that he's also resisting the covid cult = his current appeal.

With all due respect, I get the impression that you think everything and everybody other than yourself is a "leftist". You've insisted I'm one. You thought the Roman Catholic Church was leftist.

The impression I have from people I see who get into Rogan is that they're not easily pigeonholed ideologically, or may even be politically apathetic.

I've only watched his show one time, and that was because he was interviewing Tulsi Gabbard, who was running for president at the time. I wanted to know more about her positions and Rogan allowed her to plenty of time to speak her mind.

WHat I find most astounding is the insistence by the MSM to declare that he took horse dewormer. They're literally obsessed with the term. When in reality he got a valid prescription for human formulation ivermectin from his physician.

Like, sure, ivermectin can be found as an ingredient in horse dewormer. But it's been used regularly by humans for decades for various purposes (including antiparasitic), in human formulations. To declare it as 'horse dewormer' is at best being deliberately deceptive.

That's like telling a person with a-fib or an artificial heart valve, or deep vein thrombosis, who is perscribed warfarin, that they are simply taking rat poison; that their evil doctor is trying to kill them with rat poison.

I'm not sure how any of that I bolded is relevant to the post you responded to. Rogan definitely leans left. He supports Bernie Sanders and backs certain policies the left endorses like climate change and gay marriage. He's anti-religion. It's sort of a mixed bag with him, but since he says he supports Sanders, that's pretty leftist, he's just not a lunatic psycho with all the "woke" intersectionalism stuff.

As far as you, I definitely think you have leftist views and tendencies, only you pretend like you're neutral. But that is my opinion and it means nothing.

Covid cult, or your term Branch Covidians is not at all hyperbole; it's literally an accurate term to describe this fanaticism, and it's like really freaky.

Amazing - and no-one knows the origin of the name.

There are a number of theories for the origin of Hell's name. The first is that a pair of German travelers stepped out of a stagecoach one sunny afternoon in the 1830s, and one said to the other, "So schön hell!" (translated as, "So beautifully bright!") Their comments were overheard by some locals and the name stuck.[3] Soon after Michigan gained statehood, George Reeves was asked what he thought the town he helped settle should be called and replied "I don't care. You can name it Hell for all I care." The name became official on October 13, 1841.[3] The second theory is tied to the "hell-like" conditions encountered by early explorers including mosquitos, thick forest cover, and extensive wetlands.[3] The third is that George’s habit of paying the local farmers for their grain with home distilled whiskey led many wives to comment “He’s gone to Hell again” when questioned about their husband’s whereabouts during harvest time.[4] Hell has been noted on a list of unusual place names.[5]

Is this the same Joe Rogan who used to be the host of Fear Factor?
