The solidly liberal The Atlantic has a piece up that shows what old Joe's attitude was back in 2010 when he was Vice President.
Say what?
And it looks like he just "[f-bomb] that" royally. And, as he declared, he has "no regrets."
Btw, the article shows how adamantly opposed to helping any of our Vietnamese allies escape the country when it fell...
...even after it was pointed out that we've helped folks escaping communist dictatorships including "Hungarians, Cubans, Jews from the Soviet Union."
But this was back when old Joe was in bed with the most virulent racists in the Senate trying to keep schools from becoming a "racial jungle" (his words) by desegregating them, so the Vietnamese most likely were the wrong color.

According to Holbrooke’s diary, when he asked about American obligations to Afghans like the girl in the Kabul school, Biden replied with a history lesson from the final U.S. withdrawal from Southeast Asia in 1973: “[f-bomb] that, we don’t have to worry about that. We did it in Vietnam, Nixon and Kissinger got away with it.”
