  • Cuomo the Harasser

I was working on work on my dining room table and listening to the news when breaking news broke. The NY AG was announcing the results of her investigation on Governor Sinner Cuomo the Lesser. Short summary: Cuomo harassed multiple women, created a toxic work environment, and broke multiple state and local laws. Not sure legally what will happen next but I think his reelection chances just went up in flames. Also they mentioned others were complicit in what he was doing. I suspect there may be a stampede to the prosecutors office to get a deal before they get charged. .

I know if he was in the private sector, he'd be booted with no further ado.

I'm not always the greatest with women but I thank God I at least know not to do what he was described as doing.

This is a game changer in NY.

This is getting play all across the board. Even CNN is running this with a giant headline on their homepage. I'm a little surprised the liberal media isn't trying to bury this.

I've been cynical of "game changers" ever since Clinton and everyone (except me) saying he would resign in no later than 48 hours.

I'm always still in trouble again

This presents an interesting contrast between an accusation that has merit and an accusation that doesn't. This investigation wrapped up fairly quickly with definitive proof of wrongdoing. Now look at the investigations into President Trump that dragged on and on and on and never found anything (cue Mad Maxine waters: "The evidence is there, we just need to keep looking until we find it!").

Valid point about game changer. I didn't say he won't resign and he's bull headed enough to stick out the rest of his term. I predict he'll try to attack the investigation by saying it was politically motivated. I just think his chances of being reelected just dropped significantly.

The liberal media isn't burying it because the affected parties are women. I wonder if this is going to revitalize the #MeToo movement.

This is also a Democrat inhouse fight. If the AG was Republican (and white and a male), you're probably right this won't be so broadcast. While what Cuomo is wrong on many levels, what we are really watching is a power struggle in the NY democratic party.

Speaking of CNN, I wonder if they are going to eventually decide Chris Cuomo is a liability and get rid of him. If it wasn't after my bed time, I'd watch him tonight just to see if he says anything about his brother.

While eating lunch, I had the thought that wasn't it just a year or so ago everyone was saying how superior Cuomo was to Trump? Cuomo may be a better executive but he's at least as morally bad as Trump. I'd even argue that Cuomo is morally worse - I don't remember Trump being accused of creating a hostile work environment.

                Better comparison is with Kavanaugh.

Will the guy the MSM declared was "America's Governor" receive even a scintilla of what he was put through even without a shred of corroboration and a witless that couldn't remember the year, season, month, day of the week or even where this house was the alleged attack took place

He's just come out swinging and claiming he's the victim.

I'm curious what is brother, "Fredo" will say tonight on CNN, a network that turned a blind eye to one of the worst conflict of interest cases I've ever heard of ("Fredo" was secretly working on his brother's team of advisors and damage control specialists without bothering to tell CNN and while "reporting" on his brother).

Btw, I heard the complaint filed by the State Trooper against him for inappropriate contact. Frankly, it sounded EXACTLY like the sort of stuff old Joe has been doing for decades.

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo will not face discipline by the network for advising his brother, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), on how to escape allegations of sexual misconduct.

The article is from 2 months ago. Now that this has broken, that may change. If it happens, CNN will probably describe it as a parting of the ways.

After sort of listening to his defense speech, I think you're right.

I just listened to he response to the allegations. He just doesn't know when to shut up. He came across as very patronizing.

His biggest defense was that he does such things with everyone. Hugging and kissing. And showed a bunch of photos of him kissing people on the cheek.

                            1. So? That doesn't give him the right to do that in the office or elevator to women he is the boss of.
                            2. Kissing someone in public on the cheek is quite different than making moves on them, talking suggestively and touching them inappropriately.

My prediction is that this'll hold the news cycle for today, but Cuomo will stubbornly refuse to resign (as before), and wait for the news teams to find something that is "more newsworthy" than "that old thing" and fade out. Once it fades, the pressure will let up.
