No one stated that all hospitals were at breaking point. Read what is written not what you think has been written. However, the article I cited noted that Mr Abbott has appealed to healthcare workers outside of Texas to travel to the state to assist in those overloaded hospitals.

Nobody ever said, or even implied, that "everything is 'hunky dory' in Texas", you dingbat. I even pointed out that he had called for additional staffing because SOME hospitals were experiencing difficulties.

Last time we heard about Texas hospitals being overwhelmed by China flu cases and needing fleets of refrigerator trucks to handle the overflow from the morgues, native informants said, "Nope. Business as usual here, and we keep telling the refrigerator trucks to go away because we don't need them."

Yes, I was in the parking lot of several of the hospitals that supposedly had such refrigerator trucks and big tents --- nada. I also talked to my fellow Hospital Chaplains who were astounded at the gross exaggeration of conditions.

They print this stuff so gullible people will suck it up and repeat it as fact.
