An Anchorage newspaper once held a contest for a new unofficial state slogan (official slogan is "The Last Frontier"). One of the better ones was "Texas is what Alaska scraped off its boot heel."

Irrespective of how big Texas and the USA are, the fact remains that some hospitals are at breaking point.

WOW.... she's getting closer to the truth, which is really progress!!!

Some Hospitals are having challenges, but are NOT "at the breaking point".

No one stated that all hospitals were at breaking point. Read what is written not what you think has been written. However, the article I cited noted that Mr Abbott has appealed to healthcare workers outside of Texas to travel to the state to assist in those overloaded hospitals.

We regularly heard the same claim last year. Yet countless massive field hospitals that cost millions were set up and never even touched, whilst nurses and doctors made elaborate tiktoks involving much of the staff......

Yes and the article from which I quoted mentioned specific hospitals. If everything is "hunky dory" in Texas why is Mr Abbott asking for health workers outside of the state to come and assist at those overloaded hospitals?

Perhaps no one has died at all Gond Perhaps it has all been an elaborate conspiracy operated by a global cabal of doctors and scientists.

GROSS misrepresentation of the facts because you don't know SQUAT about Texas.

HOWEVER, then you double down with THIS lunacy....

Nobody ever said, or even implied, that "everything is 'hunky dory' in Texas", you dingbat. I even pointed out that he had called for additional staffing because SOME hospitals were experiencing difficulties.

Last time we heard about Texas hospitals being overwhelmed by China flu cases and needing fleets of refrigerator trucks to handle the overflow from the morgues, native informants said, "Nope. Business as usual here, and we keep telling the refrigerator trucks to go away because we don't need them."

Yes, I was in the parking lot of several of the hospitals that supposedly had such refrigerator trucks and big tents --- nada. I also talked to my fellow Hospital Chaplains who were astounded at the gross exaggeration of conditions.

They print this stuff so gullible people will suck it up and repeat it as fact.
