Covid doesn't seem to spread outside very well at all, needs a poorly-ventilated indoor area. The parts of Africa that lack western-style buildings that are reasonably airtight, are thus unlikely to spread covid.

        • People with serious "pre-existing conditions" were eligible for the vaccine months earlier than others in that age group. So, funnily enough, the doubly-vaccinated under 60s population was for months full of people with vastly higher all-cause mortality than the non-vaccinated under 60s. Shocker.

          • Lots of rioting in Europe (is this the point where Americans are supposed to point and laugh at those idiotic Europeans?) as cases skyrocket including in countries with very high vaxx compliance rates.

This reminds me of what a recent co-worker who was Gambia said about people asking her if she slept in a tree when she lived in Africa or did she have a hut. She had a house. And she is by no means rich.

              • Mentioned this in another thread, but it seems that the FDA is asking for permission to slow roll the release of the documents they used to approve the Pfizer vaccine. The schedule they're requesting won't see the documents fully released until 2076.

The FDA’s 55-year plan, which would put the full release at 2076, stems from a FOIA request from a group called Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency, which is comprised of at least 30 scientists and professors from universities like Harvard, Yale, Brown, and UCLA. The group says it is a nonprofit that takes no partisan position on the data but “exists solely to obtain and disseminate the data relied upon by the FDA to license COVID-19 vaccines” for the sake of transparency.

                [...]

The FDA filed a reply to the suit in a joint report on November 15, saying the agency is requesting 55 years, or 500 pages a month, because of the large size of the request — roughly 329,000 pages — and because it does not have enough staff to complete the request any faster. The nonprofit is requesting that the agency release the complete data by March 3, 2022 — 108 days.

“This 108-day period is the same amount of time it took the FDA to review the responsive documents for the far more intricate task of licensing Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine (the “Pfizer vaccine”),” plaintiffs said.

In response, the FDA argued that the nonprofit’s proposed deadline would “force the FDA to process more than 80,000 pages per month,” a pace which the agency said would raise a “significant risk of inadvertent disclosure of records properly subject to exemption under FOIA.”

It's almost as if there's something behind it. Like, maybe a continent filled with chronic issues like malaria and parasites might be the place that also gets frequent treatments for those things with drugs like ivermectin and HCQ, and it's surely just a coinkydink they are doing so good against covid. Boy that's a real headscratcher.
In contrast, the Island of Gibraltar, which is the most highly vaccinated population in the world, is currently experiencing a surge in China flu cases that has the local government encouraging the public to cancel Christmas plans.

The government of Gibraltar has cancelled all official Christmas celebrations due to an “exponential rise” in cases.

The government are “strongly” urging people to "exercise their own judgement” and are being advised to stay clear of any social events for at least a month.

Gibraltar has a population of around 33,600 has seen a steady increase in cases throughout October and November which has gained pace to an average of 47 cases a day over the last week.

The Health Minister has described the situation as “drastic” and people are being urged to get their booster jab.

                  [...]

In a statement released by the Gibraltar government, a spokesperson said, “Given the exponential rise in the number of cases, the Government, for example, intends to cancel a number of its own functions including official Christmas parties, official receptions and similar gatherings. [...] The Government strongly advises against any large informal social events, parties or receptions being held over at least the next four weeks while the vaccine booster programme is rolled out."

I wonder if Pfizer will figure out what is causing this big hole in the effectiveness of their vaccine before Phase 3 testing is concluded in early 2023, or will they need an extension? Oh, you didn't know that Phase 3 has yet to be completed? It's true. According to ClincalTrials.gov, the estimated completion date is May 2, 2023.

That news will come to a shock to the residents.

I read his post and thought, how strange. Then I remembered he was a leftist, and they believe minorities are too dumb to know how to get ID at the DMV, then it made sense to me why he'd think that way. I was like, "Oh yeah, liberals are racist."

                            Perhaps.

I've heard of the Isle of Gibraltar, but perhaps that is something different.

When someone gets much of what they "know" about other countries from watching Hollyweird movies I guess one can't be blamed for thinking that Africans spend all their time dancing around fires and the like.
