Now if one wanted to argue Trump's capability to rally and direct corrupt men and women, or to corrupt otherwise decent people, then of course, he wins hands down

A comment comparing Trump and Biden is going to illicit comments containing Trump and Biden in the content.

Your obsession with degrading those you disagree with across this website is unfortunate CP. Really (and I'm not talking about your comments to me) - this is disgraceful behavior for a Pastor and I know ultimately you are better than this. Come on CP, let's find a better path than this - one that builds up others rather than tears them down. I will be praying for you in that regard.

          Here's what I think....

It's not unusual for God to use much less than perfect people for His purposes. He has even used an ass. (literally)
It's entirely possible, in my opinion, that God used Trump to do a number of things that were actually beneficial to our country, and, specifically, for Christianity.
Again, I did not vote for Trump, I voted against Hillary. But when Trump became POTUS, it became incumbent upon me to pray for him, and I have.

On the other hand, I have a real hard time seeing God using Biden - an incompetent fool who has accomplished WHAT in his decades on the public dole? - for the good of this country, and he is actually an enemy, in so many ways, to Christianity.

The Democratic party is running full tilt toward socialism, and away from anything that acknowledges God as Supreme.

And I'll just choose to ignore your little diatribe on my conduct, ignoring your own.

Excellent reply CP - though you would do well to take to heart what you call my 'diatribe'.

To the post content - I disagree with it a good bit - though I'm sure you are not surprised.

I know of few more destructive influences on the church than what has come of supporting Trump. Christians all in on all sorts of true evil. And while we might could parse through what aspects of His presidency were good vs those that were not from a purely pragmatic perspective - undermining faith in the elections to the point of the insurrection and the fiasco that has followed coupled with the disaster that was his handling of covid have completely overshadowed any possible good he might have done.

Biden I have little opinion of. I dont hate him like you and most of the conservatives here do. But it doesn't seem he's been particularly successful so far.

I do agree with you that full on socialism isn't a good way to go either, which means I can't really find much solace in Trump's defeat in that there really is not a good political answer for the country right now. King Trump or Socialist Progressives. King Trump being the worst of the two bad options.

until Trump is gone and the cult of man that is the GOP finds themselves again- if they can - my main concern is that the bungling and infighting in the democratic party will return the reigns to Trump. I do not see the Democrats goals and aims as having near the potential to destroy our nation as the continued cult of Trump does.

God does not want you to pray for Trump. He would prefer that you drive a wooden stake through his black heart.

You are no help to God if you don’t recognise the Devil when you see him. Trumplove demonstrates God’s helplessness, not supremacy.

This is where you really go off the rails.
I don't hate Biden. I don't post post after post after post about him like you have Trump.

I am not OBSESSED with Biden, as you are with Trump.

It is incredibly obvious to anybody with a brain that Biden is not "in charge" -- even the liberal press is complaining that he kinda blabbers a bit, then turns and walks away without answering questions.

I actually feel sorry for the old buzzard, because the extreme left is USING him to try to push their agenda, and I don't think he even is aware of it.

OBJECTIVELY, what has Biden really accomplished in all his years on the public dole?

On one hand, I feel sorry for him because he is - in front of the whole world - showing he is incompetent to run the country.

On the other hand, he has ENRICHED himself and his family by abusing his offices, as Senator, Vice President, and POTUS.

But I don't hate the guy. I am not OBSESSED with him.

You, Jim, are FAR BETTER KNOWN on Tweb for your obsession with Trump than your service to Christ, so please forgive me if I choose not to take spiritual advice from you.

Once long ago I ran into a fellow that had fallen away. I tried to talk to Him about the Lord, and he was willing to talk. But he was full of foul mouthed and lude comments, really nasty stuff. But I kept trying thinking maybe something I said could break through. This was at a gathering with mothers and small children and what he was saying - loudly - was simply and completely inappropriate.

What i came away from that with was the realization that some people are so full of hate you just have to leave them to themselves. Anything you say to them will just make them even worse, and there will be collateral damage.
