I ended up with a B. While typing with two fingers. And I still type that way.
I did that at first too, but when I tried to get more serious about typing I stopped.

One of my biggest problems is that I'm usually much further along in my head than I'm typing -- or speaking. This leads to numerous interesting results.

While not so much now I used to think of several ways to phrase something as I'm saying it and this occasionally leads to me combining words into nonsensical utterance because I hadn't decided which one to use. I call it [poop]-in-the-mouth-itus. Usually the best treatment is for me to rapidly say a few tongue twisters quickly. Toy boat repeated three times very quickly usually suffices. But there are times I feel that something stronger is needed to get me back on track, and then I pull out the big guns: The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick.

Found this. Apparently it originated at some site called "Real Raw News," where "Raw" = "Half-Baked."

Real Raw News is a parody site. That's the second time today I've seen a case of people credulously believing parody pieces are real news. The right-wing conspiracy machine seems to swallow them whole.

Do you have any idea how many times that the Babylon Bee has been "fact checked" by the left? That's not just someone on the internet thinking a satirical story is real, but the supposed purveyors of truth who can't tell the difference. And as I said, it has happened multiple times particularly with Snopes.

My favorite instance was when Snopes rated a 2018 story about how CNN was using an industrial-sized washing machine to "spin" the news as false. This actually resulted in Facebook citing this fact-check in a warning message to the Babylon Bee, where they threatened to limit their content distribution and monetization. A humiliated Facebook quickly apologized after learning that Snopes was fact checking satire -- and that Snopes is run by humorless idiots.

If it was only once it would be a simple mistake but Snopes continues to "fact check" the Bee

And Facebook continues to censor satire

Satire can often reflect and encourage violent or racist thought. It happened a lot leading up to the holocaust. So I would believe doing so could be justified. So then I would be of a mind that a blanket condemnation of such action is too broad a stroke.

I see nothing on that site indicating it's meant to be satire. When you read the comment section, it appears his readers don't believe it's satire.

Btw, there is definitely a faction (albeit small) of Trump supporters that are believing some really off-the-wall nonsense lunacy. I mean stuff that is just absolutely off-the-chain nutty. I was watching a video of a guy (who's supposedly Christian) who is fairly intelligent and used to be a pretty level-headed guy in the past spouting a Qanon conspiracy theory that goes something like this: Apparently JFK Jr. faked his death, is sending out secret messages to Trump's supporters, and is planning to run with Trump as his mate sometime this year when Trump finally seizes power from Biden, who isn't really POTUS but is faking like he's POTUS, and then America will finally be the America they were promised like it was before the leftist took it over. I mean, the guy really believes this lunacy, and it was so sad to watch his psychosis on display right before my eyes.

I honestly don't understand what's happening with these folks, most of which I believe are Christian, or how to explain that on any sort of theological level. Though I highly doubt it's that big of a cult, it just seems pervasive because they're networking on the internet in real time. But the fact there are definitely multiple folks (the guy has a girlfriend also fully on board this idea) that really believe this is some scary stuff.

According to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Trump has been telling supporters that he's going to be reinstated as President by August.

One of two people mentioned in the sentence above is not in touch with reality by any means.

It just frustrates all the stuff that is just as crazy sounding, but actually has some basis in fact. It makes it that much harder for us researchers that have to sift through the nonsense to get to the real.

I wondered about that. When I went to the archived link and saw some of the other headlines, I thought it sounded Babylon Bee-like.

I often -- like, multiple times daily -- share Bee stories on Facebook. I'm always disappointed and gobsmacked when some of my friends are outraged, not recognizing satire. I consider the ability to recognize satire and sarcasm more accurate and useful than most IQ tests.

I'd like to talk with my friend's sister. My friend doesn't really probe for details. I don't think she wants to know how deep the rabbit hole goes, as they say. But I have the gift of morbid curiosity. I don't know when I'll get the chance. I'm currently car-less, so I don't get down that way, and even when I did, it was fairly rare to cross paths with sis.

As I've noted before, liberals have gone so far over the edge that satirizing them has become a nearly impossible task. There's nothing you can say that is so stupid that you won't find a bunch of liberals somewhere nodding their heads in sincere agreement.

There is nothing about that that is NOT disturbing.

It's nutty if Bad Orange Man really is encouraging that kind of lunacy.

It's bad if Maggie is spreading Fake News.

But nothing is worse than the possibility that some of my fellow Trump supporters might actually *welcome* such a "reinstatement."

How would that even happen? What is the Constitutional pathway?

I believe it is bad for the nation that Biden won.

I believe there were election irregularities more numerous and serious than usual, largely working to the benefit of Biden and the Dems.

I believe Big Tech and Mainstream Media collectively served as propagandists and information gatekeepers in ways that benefited Biden and the Dems.

But I'm not convinced that in toto that amounted to a "steal" of the election.

And even if it did, I don't see any way of "undoing" it that would not be even worse.
