I had a search through the US media sources I watch, and the only one that covered the fish feeding was Stephen Colbert's late show which did a 4 minute segment on Trump's entire Japan trip including the Hawaii stopover. Most of Colbert's criticisms in the segment were of the Japanese leader for sucking up to Trump too much. 20 seconds of the segment included playing the video of Abe tipping the food in to the fish pond followed by Trump tipping it in and Colbert just laughed that it wasn't very dignified by either leader and moved on.
Frankly I think you just have a victim complex and are looking for something to pretend to be outraged over. So you have basically made up the idea that this was a really major scandal, and gotten creative with your claims about how much of the liberal media obsessed over it.
Conservatives pretending to be the victims and crying fake tears over it seems to be a huge thing in this forum, it gets pretty boring to read after a while.
How about this from Jezebel? While not a hard news site (they stylize themselves as competitors for Vogue and Cosmo), they do give an interesting look into the mind of the TDS crowd
Buried at the bottom under a bunch of ads was the following update/disclaimer. As the Scots used to say, "Brace yerself Bridget!"
Looks like I found a new "accurate" news source here for you star
Interestingly it was the Guardian that first released the unedited video showing Abe first dumping the food into the pool, while also circulating the edited one, as well as reporting (since removed) but reported by The Hill:
White House reporters, keen perhaps to pick up on a Trump gaffe, captured the moment when he upended his box on their smartphones and tweeted evidence of his questionable grasp of fish keeping. Some speculated that a poor palace employee would be dispatched to the scene to clean up the mess as soon as the two leaders disappeared inside
From New York Magazine's "Intelligencer": Trump Under Fire for Improper Fish-Feeding Technique while they think it isn't much of a big deal they still report as fact that "Eventually, Trump lost patience and dumped out the rest of his bowl" Buried at the very end there is a disclaimer in an update: "Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe dumped the entirety of his fish food into the water before Trump did. Trump was merely following suit."
This angle also got a lot of play where the OMB was contrasted to the Obamessiah (Photo of Donald Trump dumping fish food into koi pond during Japan visit draws Obama comparisons)
There were also a lot of "news" Tweets from reporters such as this from Bloomberg's White House reporter Justin Sink:
Trump and Abe spooning fish food into a pond.
(Toward the end, @potus decided to just dump the whole box in for the fish)

This one from the "breaking news editor" for CNN Digital is especially cute.
You'll have to go to the actual tweet to see the video from CNN which just coincidentally happens to zoom in on Trump's face while Abe dumps his food so it looks like Trump just decided on his own to dump it. Can you spell "duplicitous"?
But as you can see just a couple minutes looking at the links on the first page of Google provided me with these examples and a couple others as well, so I think we can all see the hazards of relying on your favorite YouTube channels for the news. No different than those who get all their information from select Facebook sites
