No. At least, the evidence in the public domain says no, since an allegation made by her in the heat of the moment was immediately shown to be false by her lack of injuries corresponding to the claim. Obviously nobody can ever say what goes on behind closed doors.

But obviously spreading false rumors about someone is incompatible with Christian values and a violation of the 8th commandment. I don't ask you if you've stopped beating your wife yet.

Hard to tell. She claims he deliberately ran over her foot with a car during an argument but there were no signs of injury. Of course I've had my foot rolled over by an SUV and while it hurt when it happened there were no bruises or exterior indications.


I have a friend who got out of her SUV in the driveway to get the mail but accidentally put the vehicle in neutral rather than park. As she was walking back to the mail box she got knocked to the ground and a rear tire rolled over her. Not across her. Over her. From her thigh to shoulder.

She was fine. No injuries internal or otherwise.

The vehicle then rolled across the street (a very busy road), into the neighbors yard and crashing into a tree in front of the house.

I would also expect that if a staff member did post it of his own accord, and it did not reflect the senator's beliefs, that he would have immediately issued a counter statement declaring so. Instead, he just deleted it and, I guess, he's hoping it blows over. To his credit, he at least he had the good sense to not double down, so there may be some hope for him.
