No, it's not like that at all. For one thing, we have actual evidence that these Democrat governors did something wrong.

But I still don't have much faith that they will be held accountable.

The way I analyze it is look at the inconsistencies in how the left treats these situations. They embraced Christine Blasey Ford's testimony whereas they attacked Tara Reed's testimony and vilified her. That's how the political left (at least those in power) rolls -- they use racism and sexism for their political purposes. The fact no one is attacking Cuomo's victims nor defending him is a sure sign they're throwing him to the curb. He may not face any charges, but I highly doubt he'll run for public office, and expect him to eventually step down, in spite of how obstinate he is. They'll just keep finding things to throw at him until he does.

PA has a Republican legislature and occasionally elects a Republican governor, but I still tend to be Captain Negative about the prospects.

The sexual assault allegations against Trump are much more significant.
The incompetence dealing with covid much worse.
The corruption on a level not possible at the state level.
I slightly agree WRT Wu-WHO Flu. He should have demoted Fauchi by last May or June and replaced him with someone with a more wholistic view of public health and public policy. And he should have added to the team experts who were not dogmatically anti-HCQ. Those failings probably cost several hundred thousand lives.

I agree that there should have been a more wholistic view taken of how to handle the pandemic. We over emphasized not getting the virus and are now paying for it with increased opioid addiction/ODs, a whole year of education lost for students, increased suicide rates (teens talked about a lot, I think the overall number is up), increased depression mainly I think from a loss of hope for the future, and the economic damage. I'll be interested in 2 to 3 years what we determine was the actual cost we paid to fight the pandemic.
