I disagree - everybody new Trump was a Chump from the get-go - and had all kinds of baggage. Cuomo was the "savior of New York" and his stock is falling fast.

Karen Hinton, Ex-Cuomo Aide, Corroborates Lindsey Boylan's Account of Governor's Bullying

Karen Hinton, who served as a press secretary to Andrew Cuomo when he worked as housing secretary for the Clinton administration, corroborated claims that the now–New York governor is a bully in an article published Wednesday.

In an op-ed published in the New York Daily News, Hinton described Cuomo as a "bully" who exercised "total control," and made disparaging comments toward her.

Hinton's statements came on the same day that former Cuomo aide Lindsey Boylan accused the governor of sexually harassing her and amid additional accusations that Cuomo bullies and harasses those he disagrees with.

"[Cuomo had] given me a job in 1995 and then worked to undermine me in it. Day to day, he made me feel as if I were no good at my job and thus totally dependent on him to keep it. In Cuomo's world—he would never admit this even to himself—working for him is like a 1950s version of marriage," Hinton wrote in the op-ed.

"He always, always, always comes first. Everyone and everything else—your actual spouse, your children, your own career goals—is secondary. Your focus 24 hours a day is on him," she added. "Escaping Cuomo is tough because he has to exercise total control."

Hinton also said that Cuomo belittled her previous experience working for Mike Espy, who later became a Democratic Mississippi congressman.

And I almost missed this racist comment....

"He told me I had only worked for a 'Black man from a small town in Mississippi' and, therefore, wasn't qualified to lead the public affairs office for him," she wrote.

"The Black man from a small town was Mike Espy, who became the first Black congressman from Mississippi since Reconstruction," she said, before adding, "But that was immaterial to Cuomo, who needed complete control."

Cuomo has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks

It just takes a lot longer for the light of Truth to reach them -- they love darkness because their deeds are evil.

This is snowballing. I'm still thinking Cuomo is done.

Liberals were touting Andy Cuomo as the anti-Trump. They were right, but for the wrong reasons.

I am too. Only because I'm thinking he must have really ticked someone off in the DNC establishment machine. Otherwise, this would be more ignored than it is now. MSM wouldn't talk about AT ALL or just brush it off as a rightwing conspiracy theory, and the "fact-checkers" would be scrambling to do damage control.

Bet he gets away with it. I have the same feelings about Gov. Newsom in California. They both have the luxury of being governors of states with citizens that were dumb enough to vote them in, and too stupid to vote them out.

Ordinary average guys typically don't have Wikipedia entries. But I have friends who have Wikipedia entries (authors, musicians, scientists...), but that hardly makes them serious presidential contenders.

What they're doing now (that is IF the more liberal wing is the ones behind it) is making it more likely Cuomo might be forced out of office or at the very least make it clear he won't seek reelection, thereby paving the way for a less leftist replacement to step up as a contender.

My suspicions are that Bloomberg is behind this. The two of them apparently despise each other and FWIU last year Cuomo was blaming Bloomberg for virtually any problems that New York was having combating the Chicom coronavirus and the latter would likely like to pay Cuomo back for that.

While Bloomberg is definitely from the more liberal wing of the party, again FWIU, he has virtually no chance of winning a statewide election and he knows it so if he is the one pushing this now it wouldn't be due to just wanting to beat up the competition, but as I said, more for personal payback.

I'll note that I don't have any intimate knowledge of NY politics or even follow it so these observations come from an outsider looking in.
To Bloomberg, you probably should add De Blasio as well. His and Cuomo's fights are well know around here. It does seem to follow in NY that the governor and mayor of NYC have a hostile relationship.

I'm pretty sure the Progressives are behind this. The campaign for governor has started with the election to be held in 2022. The Progressives are trying to clear Cuomo out of the way so their candidate, NY AG James, can run. Got to it down this year so the Democratic primary can be a coronation,

Or Northam in Virginia. The blackface incident is now yesterday's news. Nobody seems to care about his support of post-birth abortion (infanticide) or violating his lockdown.
