YouTube, Black History Month, and Morgan Freeman

I was looking up a video for a different thread and noticed YouTube had "BHM" up in the corner. I instantly thought of this video with Morgan Freeman:

Black history shouldn't be relegated to one month just so we find a way to talk about it. World history should include African powers such as Carthage, Egypt, the Mali Empire and the Kingdoms of Aksum, Kush, and Kongo. We would also err to forget the exploitation during the Scramble for Africa with notation of the Belgian Congo. In modern development, Dr. Charles Drew should be in known alongside of Clara Barton and Florence Nightingale.

On the converse though, we have to realise that the modern world is, for better or worse, predicated on European history.
