Can unity happen if the left doesn't come to terms with its behavior?

I think the left see it differently; Trump was a great sin inflicted on Americans and even the whole world by the right and the lies they told themselves to justify their sin. Only they can atone for that sin, while the righteous left wait to forgive them. Reconciliation is suspended by the right’s obfuscation.
