You think that polls should outweigh election results?

Never said nor implied that - I don't trust the polls.

Yes, voting is the ONLY poll that matters.

That is obviously false, or people wouldn't be paying huge sums of money to conduct polls.

Other polls are done to inform campaigns of the strengths and weakness, to let the public know how the different candidates are doing, to help donors decide how to spend their money and to give news organizations something to report.

So, for those purposes - those polls matter.

In recent years, many polls are taken (skewed) to convince the opposition that their cause is unpopular and they should give up. And since the MSM is decidedly left-leaning and is behind many of the polls they advertise, it is no surprise that most of them show Democratic candidates in the lead, and the populace supporting left-leaning platforms. The 2016 election results exposed this rather handily and has diminished my faith in polling. I don't believe any of them.

Not even close. But the opposite was true of the MSM - claiming for 4 years how Trump was literally Hitler, and then fawning over Biden once he was in office. Right now they are saying how Biden is the most religious POTUS in half a century. Barf. The Catholic church is distancing itself from Biden because of his views on Abortion. He was even denied communion because of his views.

I'm not sure why you're denying this. This is the way all presidential politics has played out since Nixon. Ideology creeps into the political discussion no matter what and tends to get worse as civility erodes, which it no doubt has in the social media era. Trump was no Hitler--nor were Clinton, Bush2, and Obama when they were called the same--but he certainly escalated the conversation with his daily schtick.
