  • Another Healthcare Rewrite -- PERIOD!

    Source: USAToday

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration Monday announced another delay in the implementation of the requirement that employers provide health insurance for their employees.

Businesses with more than 50 employees but fewer than 100 will have an extra year to phase in health care coverage of employees who work more than 30 hours a week, Treasury Department officials said.

Employers with more than 100 employers will be subject to employee-coverage rules under the Affordable Care Act beginning in January 2015. The mandate to provide insurance had already been delayed one year.

To all you cynics out there --- this has NOTHING to do with vulnerable Democrats being up for reelection this year.

You have to have the main stream media on your side, then it's perfectly OK.

I had (separate) meetings this past week with the CFO of Blue Bell Ice Cream, and our local Hospital Administrator, both of whom shared some of their concerns of how Obamacare complicates their businesses. The Hospital Administrator, in particular, was talking about how many "resources" (employees) were having substantial amounts of their time diverted from patient care in order to deal with some compliance requirement of Obamacare. For reasons too involved to discuss here, the Hospital Administrator also shared how he had requested his own trauma center to be "downgraded" from a Level III trauma center to a Level IV due to compliance issues.

The Blue Bell CFO shared that Blue Bell had not laid off a single employee in 107 years, and left open the door that this might be changing.
